    1500 point Eldar Need help!!

Hey all its been a long time since I posted anything and a long time since I played me some 40K because I have been on a specialist games spree for a long time. To top everything off its been even longer since I busted out my Eldar. So my local group will be having a 40K tournament in about oh say 4 months and I am a little slow painting so I wanted to get an early start. I have had my Eldar a LONG time and I never really got around to painting more then a handful of guys so I want to get them painted before I get a new codex or anything like that(which I know could be a ways off). So I love how the Eldar play as a tank army so that's what I will be making and I have LOTS of tanks. I cant really gear this list to go up against many specific army types because we have players who play all the races so its all covered but like most places we have a large majority of MEQ players so that's basically going to be the easiest thing to gear towards. So I have the basics of the list but I need help with what weapons to equip my ships with for the best results and of course if anyone else sees something they think I should change then feel free to speak your peace because I love input and the more the merrier! Also another point of debate I am having with myself is if 6 fire dragons is the ideal number or if 7 is so anyone interested in arguing that topic I would especially love your input. So here is the list and I have 291 points to tool around with.

    Farseer, Guide - 75

7 Fire Dragons, Naked Wave serpent(no weapons what so ever not even shuriken cannon) - 202
7 Fire Dragons, Naked Wave serpent(no weapons what so ever not even shuriken cannon) - 202

5 Dire Avengers, Naked Wave serpent(no weapons what so ever not even shuriken cannon) - 150
5 Dire Avengers, Naked Wave serpent(no weapons what so ever not even shuriken cannon) - 150
5 Dire Avengers, Naked Wave serpent(no weapons what so ever not even shuriken cannon) - 150

    Fire Prism - 115
    Fire Prism - 115

So there you have it I need to come up with weapon load-outs for at least 5 tanks and this list has LOTS of room for improvement so please please please comment away!

This is what I would consider a good template to build from but needs a good bit of buffing out. With your spare points lets look at your Wave Serpents first since you must have a weapon on them, sometime I wish you could just take a naked WS when all your going to be doing is moving flat out the whole time any way, I'd say to stick EML's on the DA WS's and Shuriken Cannons on the FD WS's.

Then with the remaining points buff out the DA squads, they will die very quickly once they lose their transport so if they are sitting on an objective the more bodies you have the better. Your farseer would be more effiecent with Doom for an extra 5 points. Now while both powers only affect one unit, multiple units can target a doomed unit while guide only benefits one.

The only thing beyond what I've already mentioned is that you have a severe lack of CC capability, now while this is not the end of the world my personal preference is to always have a unit of Banshees or Scorpions on hand because I've rarely palyed a game when CC doesn't happen, thats my own personal preference however so if you feel you don't need it then by all means continue as you are.

Also always add Holofields to your tanks.Without them they are just AV12 normal tanks!

Create two squads of 7/8 Dire Avengers including an exarch with double catapults and bladestorm. Three squads of five with no exarch is just too 'scattered' and small. Your Farseer with guide is not effective enough. I prefer a Doom&Fortune Farseer with spirit stones and RoWi. Doom is a psychic power from which every unit in your army can benefit, in contrast to guide. The fire prisms definitely need holo fields and maybe also spirit stones, because otherwise they will both be destroyed before turn 3. On top of the Wave serpents of the fire dragons you should do TL-missile launchers(brightlances are too expensive) and on top of the other 2 wave serpents you can put TL-Scatter Lasers for a lot of s6 ap 6 shots. Now you have 2 fire prisms which are much more durable, you've also got 4 serpents instead of 5, so with the points from the fifth, you can maybe upgrade your units with the proposed suggestions.

I hope this was helpful. Good luck!
