Alright, so after going through the whole book, figuring out some math and trying to have a full understanding of every unit, I'v come up with a list that I think should perform fairly well in an all comers friendly game. This is by no means a top notch Tournament List but It brings to the table some of the appropriate elements for one.
The idea behind this is going to be keeping Night Fighting in effect until you have your side set up and stable, keeping the Monoliths in reserve with the Warriors and foot slogging the rest of the army up while hiding under cover of darkness for at least 2 turns.
Taking care of any units that threaten your monoliths with the Wraiths and Warriors are going to be top priority because you want your Monoliths to survive for as long as possible, don't be afraid to lock the warriors in combat if need be. Use the scarabs to help destroy the likes of land raiders and other vehicle threats that may linger on the board, with up to 24" charge and with at least 2 turns of Night Fighting they shouldn't have any trouble getting to what ever it is they need to. Imotekh and the Immortals are going to be the support unit for this army, aiding in the thinning out of units with shooting and finishing them off with combat.
Objective control could prove to be an issue with this list so because of the mobility of the army, you would want to claim one at least and contest the rest. Warriors and scarabs aside, the rest of the army is fairly resilient so staying alive or coming back and so shouldn't prove to be much of a problem with objective control. Wiping your opponent is what you would prefer to do but sneaking a last turn control to clinch a game with the monolith is a cheesy and effective tactic.
Thoughts? Ideas? Changes you would make (big or small)? Comment!
