3X Doom Scythe
The List comes out to 1499 Points
The idea behind this list is Quick board wipe by abusing Night Fighting to keep your guys alive and controlling the board.
Turn 1 is the calm before the storm, but with Imotekh able to drop str 8 bombs on units it has the potential to do some early damage, turn 1 the only thing you do is move up the Scarabs toward larger vehicle threats and hope that Imotekh does some damage. (The Scarabs aren't in the list to kill vehicles, just make them more vulnerable.)
Turn 2 is where things start getting interesting, Combination of Imotekh's storm + 4 Death Rays (Imotekhs Staff counts as one), 3 Twin linked Tesla Destructors, Tachyon Arrow and What ever Vehicle you choose from your opponents army to shoot for you as well has the ability to nearly wipe any army out there. Oh yeah and you have Immortals too if need be.... During this turn the scarabs will either help With Vehicle problems or forcing opponents into combat to keep them from shooting or moving next turn (hopefully)
Turn 3 is a rinse and repeat of turn 2
The beauty of the list is its simplicity and ability to demoralize your opponent efficiently
Why take solar pulses? You only really need the effect for two turns (which Imotekh does nicely) and you don't want to use them in your own turn as the Lord of the Storm lightning strikes won't work.
I took it incase I need it for turn three because of late reserves, bad rolling or If I miss out on the initiative which puts me a turn behind. But I do see your point, I could cut one entirely and have 45 points left for more scarabs?

or you could cut one Pulse, its court and anrakyr and take the varguard. Sure you lose a tachyon arrow and special immortals, but i dont want them in cc anyways, and you'll be able to veil out of any ccs you dont want to be in. if you still want the cryptek, you can get multiple naked ones in the existing court, but wont be able to dbl up in squads. I want to like the doom scythes, but until we get a model (to save converting moolahs) and an FAQ(so i dont have to listen to whining) ill pass on the glass cannon for now. Personally I would be More particular for a DD ark and 2 annibarges. You'll then have enough for a stalker or something else if you need anti tank. Use the rest to phatten up your troops. Personally if you have points left over i would Try to take a 10 man Immortal squad, and a warrior unit in a ghost ark. Those things are sturdy as hell.
why not drop a solar pulse harbinger, for a chronometron harbringer, that way you can reroll imotehk's night fight?
Same goes with the DDA, Is be paying more points for a vehicle with inferior firepower and a bigger price tag
