i am having a small friendly comp with a couple of my friends at 1k each
heres my list, not entirely sure about it though so changes are welcomed
Overlord w/scythe, res orb
Lord w/res orb
crytek w/edritch lance
crytek w/edritch lance
warriors x9 w/ghost ark
total: 1002 points
checked with my friends, and its okay that i am a few points over
tactics: i will be playing against DE, SP and Eldar so will always be striking last in cc. basically i plan on using overwelming fire power to win.
the orb lord will join the warriors, the overlord will join the normal immortal squad with a cryptek, the other cryptek will be with the other immortals
i am using my crypteks and barge as anti armour (not expecting high av tanks, 12 at most) and will use my scarabs to bog down either elite unit or heavy units
thing i am not sure about is the ghost ark, i would like to keep it as it is basically another warrior squad and i will be moving my warriors around in it (mobile artillery). i might also drop a few scarabs and upgrade my overlord to a phaeron so the immortals can shoot and scoot
against advice will be welcomed
The Ghost Arc isn't being utilized to its fullest with only 1 unit of Warriors. Consensus so far seems to be running a unit in the Ghost Ark, and another unit of 10 on foot so the Ark can repair fallen ones on foot, and if need be, swap the units out to replenish footsloggers if they fall too low. Otherwise, if your Warriors are riding in the Ghost Arc, they really don't need an Orb. I think a HoD w/ Lance is better suited in the Ark for the sake of mobility to get better LoS to enemy mech.
As for CC, I don't have experience but I can Mathhammer. I've also heard 'Crons are no slouches either. 4+ save with 5+ RAP have a 66% chance to pass a save, same as MEQ. They both suffer against power weapons, and the 5+ RAP give 'Crons a 33% chance to save against them which puts them a step ahead of MEQ. Only thing you really have to watch out for is AP4 weapons, otherwise, just for comparison's sake (since they seem to be the golden standard anyways), 'Cron Warriors are leagues ahead their MEQ counterparts. If you're really worried about CC, though, finding room for a Warscythe on that Lord will add significant umph towards winning a CC that would otherwise be 1-2 wounds in favor of the opponent -- very important for giving 'Crons a better chance of passing their morale check if combat is heading that way, and allowing RAP to bring a few back.

never really worried about cc, i rarely get to strike first
i just have the ark because i have a doomsday ark and my mates arent to fussy about exact models, so in low point games its a ark instead
might just cut the ghost ark and buy some wraiths or more warriors/immortals ... just love shooting them to bitz
