im just looking for a bit of advice on a small list
i've run this list a couple of times to good effect but was wondering if there was any way i could improve it, so heres the list:
Haemonculus - Venom Blade, Liquifier Gun, Animus Vitae - 70pts
5 Kabalites - Blaster - 60pts
Venom - Splinter Cannon, Chain Snares - 70pts
9 Wyches - Haywire Grenades, Hekatrix w/ Venom Blade - 123pts
Raider - Flickerfield, Chainsnares - 75pts
3 Reavers - Blaster, Cluster Caltrops - 101pts
i stick the haemy with the wyches, shoot forward and disembark the wyches, leaving the haemy on the raider and the pain token with the wyches, meanwhile i race around with the reavers using the bladevane attacks and the kabalites go tank hunting/harass small units
so what do you think? im mainly looking for advice on the haemy loadout but any advice is welcome
hey sup um I say drop the hammy because unless u need arcane tech shit it will only drag u down. I myself have had my share of games and find unless you need tech shit you hammy will merely be a free kill point for they are weak. As for the wyches I say ditch em and get some more warriors and a raider for your other team. Reavers will suffer by themselfs of the flank some shoot forward the other raider to help. Ditch the venom the suck and get a raider give the raiders splinter racks I love to run circles around my ork friend when we do mini battles and this is the list I put to affect
Archon with shadowfield
Kabalite team 9
Leader with blastpistol
Kabalite team 10
Soz damn iPhone is so bad at this lol total should be 444 giving you
Room to add another raider if u please
Soz for slowness I guess with extra points u shud give the Archons squad a raider
Tactics= with this army you zoom forward on the first turn taking cover behind terrain then you drift 12inch a turn from cover to cover gunning down foes with splinter tech. Shud armor try and face you your massed number of guns with lance shud eat
Them up. At all costs you must avoid the combats enemy units and stay in cover otherwise u will find ureself overun.
Should your unit with the archon somehow lose there vehicle: Note this will happen from time to time ure archon will take the shoots as ure unit will still be potential in close combat send them in.[QUOTE[/QUOTE] this army will work best against a footslogging guard army or possibly a slow combat army. U should outpace them will gunning them thin
Quite a good list, just a few suggestions from me.
I'd say drop the animus vitae, since the haemonculus will be left in the raider after disembarking the wyches, and therefore him assaulting a unit in his own will be highly unlikely. You could also possibly drop the venom blade for the same reason, but keep it if you wish. For me I quite like the tactic of giving the pain token to the wyches. As they are traditionally very fragile it makes them much harder to kill, which is good Apart from that the blasters on the reavers might not be necessary, as I doubt that you'll encounter many tanks or transports etc. in such a small point game. You also have the kabalites with the blasters for anti-tank, which you may want to bulk up using the points from the blasters due to their small squad size. The raider can also serve as some anti-tank support. Anyway, that's my advice.
Rant over, I apologise. As for the list, looks relatively solid, however I would suggest a couple of changes. The animus is good in theory, but it isn't really necessary, taking it out will save you a few points. The Wyches NEED an Agoniser, it's what makes them so good, a reliable power weapon is something Strength 3 units need. I will also recommend Night Shields on ALL vehicles bar Ravagers, the small arms fire trickery you will pull of is only benefiting you. Also, Chain Snares, whilst fun, detract from us using our skimmers as they should be being used, as weapon platforms.
Haemonculus - VB, LG - 60
5 Warriors - Blaster, Venom, NS, x2 Splinter Cannon, Grisly trophies - 140
9 Wyches - Haywires, Hekatrix, Agoniser, Raider, FF, NS - 218
3 Reavers - Blaster - 81
Total - 499
Your tactics were solid Thanatos, but the list was a bit off. The Night Shields allow us to move 6" away from our enemies when they move to what they believe to be in range, keeping us safe (unless they're Tau, always kill Tau quickly). Hope you take the advice into account =)
