i might have made a few mistakes on the listing of biomorphs but the costs are correct. i am willing to change most things. except the numbers of guants, i need to have 48 as its a box number. saves cash. if i drop the termagants for spineguants i can afford so extra biomorphs or a set of deepstriking toxin mines. thanls alot DJ87
Hey interesting list:
Im not a big fan of your tyrant - thats a good 205 pts that is not really geared towards shooting or combat, and i highly doubt will get its points back in either (perhapse consider a bigger gun) or more pts spent on making him better in combat (although with a walking tyrant thats gonna mean only turn 4 at he soonest)
The elite carnifex is fine and dandy, i like him.
The warriors and lictor are nice 2.
Nice simple troops section, thats cool 2
Your winged warriors really really should have rending claws, its vertually an essential.
Your shooty fex is fine, i quite like it, and it has a chance of paying for itself,
Your combatty fex however may need some work, your spending almost 200 pts on a model that might not make combat, (and probably wont), and when it does i ill only have a few rounds in which to pay for itself.
With the points you save (assuming you agree with any of my ideas) perhapse another lictor, raveners or troops could be bought?
(another thing, for the prices of your +1 T and W on your carnifexes, you could be on your way to buying a 4th )
Should be an ok list overall though, you have a good mix of shooting and combat, but it could definately be tweaked.
i am mostly going to play tau and kroot, only occasionally playing my chaos and marine boys when my opponant gets his army started and finished, long way away.
the board that we have half finished is a city fight, lots of buildings and a few roads which cut it into chunks.
i had no idea what to give my tyrant, he seems okay to me but i am a brand new nid player. what shocks me about nids is the fact they have no AP 3 or " weapons (warp blast yes but its limited) i was going to give my tyrant warp blast but hitting on 4s does not seem like a reliable weapon. what would you change it for? BS? VC? Warp Blast and Talons? TWLDevs and TWLDeaths??
Rending claws, ill have a look. are there any wings available for the warriors, they are a difficult size.
what do you think? spine or terms? if i drop the terms for spines i get 29 points enough to change talons for claws.
Ravenors, there deep strike is not very good, although they do move at a hellish rate they most probly will be nutraliesed quickly. i realy like the Lictors, id jump em in on high Ws enemy and support them with gaunts.
What about Deep striking toxin mines?? against Crisis suits they would give em a good kicking.
i have been thinking about the colour scheme, its either Red and Black or Green and black. i have a wide range of greens so it may be that.
First off - dont even think abou mines! No bad DJ never!
barbed strangler or venom cannon definaely on the tyrant, or warpblast (not my personal favorite but its good for some) on the termagaunt part, im not exactly sure, its not a big difference and +1 st for that many guys is quite good, however you wont be shooting much them anyway. so saving the points might be a good idea (whichever u think best)
You wont meet many enmies that the feeding tendrils work on, people seem to think that upgrade is ace, but most nids have high weapon skill anyway (most nids that can get feeder tendrils are about ws 6) but its free on ur lictro so hy use it! just dont expect your lictor to live past the first round (ifyour attcking a high weapon skill model he will be attacking u, and lictors are like paper)
Wings on warriors are hrd to do, some people scratch build some use gargoyle, its hard to bother with.
Raveners are intresting, they are good for targe saturation (3 broods of 1) and force the enemy to not shoot at other targets. however these are also paper when shot at. (its all up to u really)
But strongest advice i have for u, cut down on the price of your carnifexes (i have 3 in my 1500 pt list and they cost 113 pts each, not to get into elites but just because all the extras are expensive)
Your shooty tyrant is pretty short range. You'll want to keep that in mind, especially if you are fighting Tau. Pulse rifles may not do much to an MC, but they'll get 2 rounds of shooting before you're in range with the Tyrant.
For your elite Fex, if you drop the tail/Adrenal Gland/ and one of the Scything Talons you can get a BS on him, for 2 points less than your current Elite Fex. Sure, he's a lousy shot (hits 33% of the time) but he can still penetrate armor 13 and below.
And like Fleet Tyrant suggested, get Rending claws on your flying warriors and give your HtH Fex at lest a gun so he can support your army while he's trudging up to get into HtH.

Please note that there is a specific format for titles in the army list forum. I have edited your thread to comply. Please be sure to read the sticky named "Read this before posting" at the top of this forum before posting any more threads.
[point value] Army - any other info
Just a reminder that there is a specific way to format titles. We do this so that the search function works and it is important that everyone follow the same format. Some examples:
 Tau - For tounrnament play
 Chaos - Khorne Combat patrol
 Space Marines - Space Wolves
Eldar - My first Ulthwe list
Space Marines - I need help with my Raven Guard
 Daemonhunters - Puritan
As you can see, the point value comes first in square brackets, with no letters or special characters in the brackets. Next comes the army name. Not the sub-army such as a specific chapter or craftworld, but what overall army you are playing. Last, after the all important hyphon is where you say what chapter and any other things you would say about your list.
Just a reminder,
Mentor of Space Marine Commanders far and wide.
Efficiency VS Point Cost VS Ease Of Use - Your best bets:
1) Chaplain led Assault squad - 2 plasma pistols, powerfisted sergeant
2) 8 man Devastator squad - 4 missile launchers
3) Land Speeder Tornado - HB + AC
i just used the dj so poeple from the Tyranid forum could find it easier. sorry ill not do it again.
i can easily afford to swap the scything talosn for the rending claws. ill be 2 points over but thats not naughty.
i will swap terms for spines i get 24 points yey!!
i dont realy want to swap the combat fex, i could drop either the +1t +1W from both, possibly the W as against S5 pulse weapons wound on 6 against T7. i would then acru either 40 or 30 points, depending on how many points they are each.
when i fight Kroot (Ws4) the feeder tendrils will pass on the 3+ to hit to the Ws 3 terms/spines not bad for saying they would hit on 4+
our board is 48" so and so has a 24" gap between deployment zones. thanks. DJ8
Your elite fex is illegal. He must be LESS THAN 115pts to be an elite choice.
A simple and attractive wings conversion for warriors is to convert the big scytals that come with them. You only get one set per 3 warriors, though. Glue paper across the inside of the talon, then greenstuff around the edges to meld it. Then attach the scytals upside down in the warrior arm sockets, so they are posed like wings. Looks very nice when done, and is a better size fit than gargoyle wings.

the elite fex is the screamer killer from the codex (113) but i swapped bio plasma ( for scything tail (10) i will recheck tonight to make sure, but i do believe i am correct, im not being big headed or ****y, i just checked through the list i made alot to make sure everything was correct.
thnks friendlyfire515 i will look in to that, i would like to see if they would fit in sidways perhaps so i could use them as wings and make them still look useful in combat. i have not seen any of the tyranid sprues yet, i am a new nid.
THNKs again DJ87
No its just that your fex has to be LESS than 115 not 115 (a small difference however important)
