Carnifex - ???
I have 213 points left to invest in my Carnifex, it at least have a venom cannon, bot sure of the biomorphs yet, then I'll see where I am after I include it. The second hive tyrant is in there for more of a support role. My opponents are mostly Space Marine, Eldar and Necron. And they all know that nids die better when they (my opponents) are armed with alot of firepower. My opponents like their troops. So I tried to find ways to get more shots off. I have alot of synapse creatures because before 4th edition my synapse creatures had a nack for dying quickly. Even with careful deployment, and using cover, etc. So I may be over doing it with the synapse, I haven't gotten to play a game with 4th ed yet, so we'll see how that goes.
I think I have a fairly balanced force here, let me know what you think.
These are just my opinions, definetly try out what you like.I like the Winged Tyrant, so qualms about it. As for the Shooty one, I'd dump the Bonesword/Lashwip. It's about the most useless biomorph in my opinion. I think you'd find a Tyrant with Scything Talons and a TL Deathspitter with Toxin Sacs a bit more to your liking. The Deathspitter can pen armor and deal with weak armored troops. If you take the Tyrant without Ex Car, then keep her ( I always refer to Tyrants in the feminine, must have watched Aliens 1 too many times.) in cover or behind your other Tyrant or Fex. She'll get eaten alive by Krak missiles and Rail rifles and any number of AP 3 weapons.Originally Posted by roguedigitHow can you go wrong with a Lictor? Those Warriors aren't going to last very long without Ex Car. With the new rules putting so much importance on Synapse, the Tyrants and your Warriors are going to suck up a lot of fire. Otherwise, I like the layout.Like the Stealers.Originally Posted by roguedigit
12 gaunt units of Spinegaunts will be able to provide ample targets, nice.
I think you're going to find those Hormagaunts are going to be very tough to manuver in a brood that large. I'd split them into two units of 15 each. Shave off two Hormagaunts and you have the points for Ex Car on all 6 Warriors.I'm turning into a bigger and bigger Ravener fan. Keep them in Synapse range for as long as possible. You might also want to split one of those broods, so you'd have one brood of 2 and two broods of 1. You can move them all together and have them charge the same targets, but with 3 broods it will take more firepower to wipe them out.Originally Posted by roguedigit
Winged Warriors are excellent at keeping Gaunts in Synapse range, just watch them and use cover to your advantage, since they can't improve their armor save.I've never really used Zoanthropes (though I will as soon as I paint up the one from my Army Box)Originally Posted by roguedigit
As for your Fex, I like this layout:
Excellent shooting (4 shots a round, 2 S10 1 S8 1 TLS6) and with 5 wounds he'll be around for a while or suck up a hell of a lot of fire. You've got a lot of synapse. 13 critters, 4 of which fly. I doubt you'll be wanting for synapse at any point in the game. And with the new rule about instakill, you'll find your Warriors last a lot longer than they used to. My suggestions come from my style of play, though except for the second Tyrant, my only critizism of your list is a lack of Extended Carapace on your Warrios and Tyrant. While the Tyrant could get away with it, Warriors definetly can't. Even with the no instakill rule they are too fragile at their standard save.Originally Posted by roguedigit

Thanks for the feed back, Gojiratoho. Yeah, I wasn't really sure what to do with that second Tyrant, but I like the suggestion. I was thinking of adding toxic miasma to the Winged Tyrant, may be a bit over kill. Definetly a good idea dropping a hormaguant for ext carp on the warriors. Still working with the Carnifex. I also realized my point value for the Ravenors is wrong so I had to cut it down, now i have i brood of 2 and the other of 1. I would split up the ravenors further but the flying warriors have to take up one fast attack slot.
