10x Flayed Ones
Phase Out- 16
- lord goes with the immortals to jump around the table
- warriors and scarabs make a nice fire base
- destroyers zip around....destroying things
- flayed ones drop in 3rd turn, maybe 4th for a mid game surprise
is is an army list that i used a lot in the past. i played necrons for a bit, then put them away for a lil while and started eldar. now i'm bringing them back for a tourney cause everyone thinks i'll be using eldar. muah ha ha ha ha
Solid list. Can't honestley think of a better way to improve it. The only thing I would comment on is lack of heavy support. I can jst envision a Deathwing army stomping through your battle lines. I'm going to suggest you get either A. a Tomb Spyder or 2 or B. A heavy d or two. But thats just a suggestion. Your list is very good and will be able to handle most opponents.
Just a quick note: Immortals are very expensive. You may want to consider trimming it down just a little bit in exchange for more Warriors. At 1,500 points, I won't leave home without at least thirty Warriors.
The Lord is well-kitted except for the Disruption Field. You don't really plan on attacking armor with him, do you?
On the other hand, Scarab Swarms with Disruption Fields make great tank-poppers. Think of all the dice you'll be rolling when that Swarm hits a tank: one is bound to be a six and, presto, no more Rhino, Leman Russ, LRC, etc.
Other than that, solid list. It should do some damage.
WHFB: Dwarfs || WH40k: Imperial Fists, Necrons || WM/H: Trollbloods || BFG: Necrons
what no heavy support?
The people who survive are the winners
The people who enjoy survival are the champions
thank you for your comments
tombspiders- WS and BS too low for my liking, they have kool abilities, very strong and tough, but they don't hit often enough, i might get one for inbetween the warriors
heavy destroyers- portable lascannons, good, 1 shot, bad, but 9 shots from a squad of destroyers is better
monoliths- i think are only for 2000+ points, they draw a lot of attention, they are too close range shooty for my liking.
i love immortals. i bought this unit of 10 through advanced orders right when they were available. they are shooty hell and can take a boat load of damage, T5 and 3+ save is hard to beat. deep striking them around the feild with the flayed ones is a nasty threat to ANYONE.
i would like to take more warriors but being the same points as flayed ones, i think it evens out.
flayed ones are the warriors that you want to assualt with, with extra attacks and deep striking i think they are well suited. its like the difference between space marine tactical squads and assualt squads, practically the same thing, but suited for different purposes.
disruption feild is to take up extra points lol
I like the updated list. You might consider dropping 2 immortals and two scrabs to get 4 more warriors. Not that its any big deal, but you warrior units are pretty meger for a 1500pt list. That being said, you do make up for that with flayed ones and immortals.
I do not really like any of these lists. Warriors should be in 10-man-squads, since you should always be afraid of sweeping advances. What is more, with no orb lords, some howling banshees or battle cannons can totally DESTROY your army. All things considered, your list is confusing. Mixing FOs in the same list with destroyers and scarabs won't help you much.
Here is my 1500 point list:
Necron Lord with orb and gaze of flame
OR you can throw the monolith for 10 more warriors and a tomb spyder.
I like the first list. tomb spyders have not earned their points for me. Id rather have that extra destroyer!!
And i have had great success using a monolith in 1500 points! The PW should only be used as an extra weapon..not a primary reason for taking it. It is a center point for the army..of which the army should orbit it. The WBB bonus is amazing..Keep extra warriors in reserve and inject some guass into the middle of the board. This works great with a larger warrior squad. the guass flux arc can really hurt the enemy as well!
Most people ignor the monolith because it just takes to much fire to bring it down in my experience.
I agree, Tomb spyders are blah for me too. They just add KP's to your list, which honestly is one of the BEST mission types we accel at! I also agree 3x10 Warriors should be in there. Lose a couple of immortals, or a few scarabs to make that squad and take as many destroyers as you can!
