Ok, This is for a campaign. I am going to play a largely defensive role, holding territory. This is all the models I have, so please, no advice like "add 2 more railheads!" I had to stretch a bit to fit the points, some of my accessories and choices may be unnecessary but I'm not sure how to make better use of anything. I have 4 sets of magnetic crisis weapons, thus I can field no more than 4 total of a single weapon type. Note that I have 3 useable crisis suits.
Other players are 1 Tau, 2 nid (at least 1 allied), 2 Chaos, 1 Guard, and a bunch of marines... I'm not sure how many, but probably at least 4 or 5 of them. With 1 Hammerhead, Rail vs. Ion could make or break this... I am leaning towards Ion at this point on learning how many marines there are. My only misgiving is loss of munitions...
I have until tomorrow (wednesday) morning to change this.
One final detail: This will be on 48" x 48" tables.
Stealth Shas'Ui x 6
Fire Warriors x 12 (This team is with the fish, aggressive, so bonded.)
Fire Warriors x 12 (This team is long range, in cover etc so no bonding.)
Gun Drones x 8
Railgun, Burst Cannons, Multi-tracker, Blacksun Filter, Disruption Pod, Decoy Launchers, Target Lock
HW Blacksun Filter
HW Blacksun Filter

Edited to include player armies.
Edited to exclude points. This anal nonsense really bothers me, although I can't fault the website. If anybody wanted to piece together the stats/points/etc from the internet, they could. Hell, you can probably download the codices somewhere. Well, whatever. Won't happen again.

C'mon man, you've been here a while, you should know better then to post point values.
Edit: It's not anal nonsense. It's copyright infringement.

Record as of 26 December for my Static Tau Cadre.
10 wins, 0 losses, and 1 draw.
Last game: Victory over Necron in a 600 point "kill em all" that lasted til turn 10 ending with a phase out.
There were a whole bunch of marines, so I opted for the Ion cannon. This meant I got to upgrade the second El to O. I changed the elite crisis to a deathrain. The crisis suits performed admirably but had a knack for being just inside 12 inches and getting charged. My estimation skills need work.
I faced 2 marines and sisters, lost all three. Overall, I was far short on firepower. The Ion cannon was an utter disappointment. You miss one shot off the bat statistically, and you should kill 10 marines during the game if you survive and can fire at them. In reality this rarely worked out, and to top it off there's always some damn invulnerable save, cover save, psychic nonsense, etc that reduces it to like 1 marine a turn. I would have been better off using the template and making him take more saves.
The only larger disappointment than the Ion cannon was the devilfish. Never again will I use a devilfish on 48 x 48 tables unless the whole force is mech. I am ordering the gun sprue to convert it into a hammerhead.
