Welcome to Librarium Online!
ok. here's my new biel-tan list. i've decided to give guardians a go (and drop my reapers because their survival has been really low against everything but khorne- no shooting, hehehe)
and drop the fire dragons too as they don't really do much. someone please tell me what you think.
-Farseer w/ jetbike, singing spear, mindwar @103 points
-2 vypers w/ starcannons @130
-(2x) 6 man guardian squad w/ starcannon and warlock w/ conceal, witchblade and pistol @ 145 each.
-8 scorpions, +Exarch w/ stealth and claw @ 191
-8 warp spiders @176
-8 Banshees + Exarch w/ Executioner + Waveserpent w/ brightlances and spirit stones @300
-Wraithlord w/ brightlance @ 120
-falcon w/ starcannon, spirit stones and holofield @190
the downside of this list is that I've got 3 elite slots filled, so someone could whine about it.
also the vypers have to be in a squad of 2, which i wouldn't really like.
however i could change this to a standard vanilla eldar list by moving the guardians to troop slots, aspects to elites and split up the vypers to occupy 2 fast attack.
so, input is greatly appreciated.
6 man gaurdian squads? I feel like they;ll have trouble dishing out enough fire power to do too much...
well I've never actually used guardians before. they're basically a 9 (6+ crew+ warlock) man concealed starcannon...
whats a better squad size?
The guardian size is fine but drop the witchblades as with a small squad like that they wont survive advancing, you need to hold them back giving support fire rendering the blade useless. Maybe even trade conceal for embolden and keep them hidden in cover.
A little more points juggling and even another vyper isn't out of reach, or you could just max out your aspects.......
Ask not a question of the eldar, for they will give you three answers all of which are true and horrifying to know.
heck, make it vanilla. That would certainly only provide advantages. However, if you do that you do stand chances of being called cheesy, or the like.
Definitely drop the witch blades. Use the points to fill out the banshee and scorpion squads

For a list, I think it looks nice, but I personally prefer larger squads of guardians, in case I come across other long range fire power. Fully agree about dropping the witch blade, and embolden could really help if you play with enough cover on the board, otherwise, keep conceal.Originally Posted by TzarNikolai

Nice variety of speed, anti infantry, anti heavy infantry, and vehicle.
On the farseer, drop either the spear or mindwar, as you're taking an extra (about) 19 points that can't be used each turn. If you want to tank kill, take a WB, and keep mindwar.
Take the extra oints from this and the other WBs, and give your WS the shuricannon upgrade for extra infantry softening up.
Just a thought. Good luck
I think you will find he has the vypers in seperate squads, hence his statement about the elite slots
I would not worry about comments of cheese, you have taken all 3 elite slots but you are well below the 25% of your army on elite which in a tourney would class as balanced
As Dunklezahn said, you dont need the withc blades on the warlocks.
Generally guardian squad sized are either very small, (like 5) or very large (like 15 to 20), the latter need to get close enough to use their shurikats, but generally an opponent will try and get close anyway. In your case, the points from getting rid of 2 gaurdian is not gonna buy you anything worth while so I would leave as is
