Wow, for your first try thats not to bad.

I think your a bit Crisis suit heavy, but this the coming from a guy who might play one Crisis suit. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PUT A MUTLITRACKER ON THE 'HEAD! anyone that tells you otherwise is stupid (really), multitrackers are single best equipment for tau tanks, always take them no matter what (you can move and shoot up to 12", farther than 6" and all hits are only glancing). Drop the shield gen on the HQ, with Jump-shoot-jump, you should hopefully keep them out of sight, you cant rely on the shield. The Shas'ui with a light w/ TL are normally very good, but since your FW should keep moving it may not be useful.

Dropping the ML w/ TL(34), Smart Mssl System(10), Shield gen (22), seekers (20), gives you 86 points. Thats almost a drone squad. But thats your call.

Seriously consider adding: 'Head: Multitracker and Decoy

I would suggest the last 2 Crisis suit designs to this...

Shas'vre TL Plasma Rifle, Fusion blaster and HW Multi
-You can get in nice and close with this guy, he wil be expensive, but he can do a lot of damage at 12"

    Shas'ui TL Mssl Pod w/ ???
-Make this guy a Deathrain Mod, you can pop light vechiles with ease. I dont know about a 3rd system though. Flamers are cheapest, and if you are facing swarms it will be useful. I would not suggest paying the extra 17(?) points just to get a multi tracker.

With the sole exeception of your tank missing a multitracker, I think your army, as is, would do very well. This an extremely mobile army (not to beconfused with fast), plan terrain placement accordingly. Remeber, these are suggestions, no one can tell you how or what you like.

I don't think seeker missiles to be anygood without a proper unit of pathfinders, only 2 marklights is a bit risky, you might not get them off when you need them.

I disagree 24 is a reasonable amount. If it's one thing I have learned is the FW can go a long way, particularly in mech tau.

Your biggest concern is going to be avalible cover, Crisis suits are not that tough, and many heavy weapons will one-shot them. If you can't get enough cover then consider dropping a Crisis suit for a small squad of FW.

Remeber Crisis suits can walk: You can walk into cover, shoot (if your not more then 6" from the other edge) and then jump back out. You cant be shot at this way.

I'm not as kind as The Badger. I might however repeat some of the things he says, which will just reinforce how important they are.

List is 1006p. That commander is poor, and costs 135p not 125p. You should stick to Shas'el. They are cheaper and more efficient. Twinlink a weapon instead of giving him a shield generator. Commanders don't need shield generators because IC protects them.

Your first two crisis are very solid. The third crisis is not great, but only needs a little tweaking and he could be useful, if you need a tankhunter. I'm not sure if you do need to dedicate a crisis to tankhunting, but if you want to, then make him a team leader and twinlink the fusion blaster.

Get rid of those damn expensive usless upgrades on the fire warriors! That unit should be 225/230p, nothing else. That's 12 fire warriors, shas'ui, decoys, multitracker, and maybe targetting arrays. This is the best way to use these guys.

The decoys launchers and multitracker are 'compulsory' on hammerheads. Get them.

Not a bad list (apart from being 1006p). Your next purchase should be 6 stealth suits.

    1) There have been so many heated discussions about "which is better, el or O?" that I've given up trying to persuade those in love with el to go O, and most of them have given up persuading me to go with el instead of O. However, I believe that both of these commanders, in their own right, will see their usefulness on the field and I suggest, personally, a Shas'O with Missile Pod, Plasma Rifle, and multitracker. That's it. As stated, the IC status should protect him as well as jump-shoot-jump. If you get him in a position to actually need that shield generator, you made a very bad move.

    2) As for your third Crisis Suit: I disagree in having a Fusion coupled with a Missile Pod. If he's there to try to hurt tanks, then maybe it can be useful. If he's actually going to be there to melt some SMurfs/SMurflikes, then swap it out for the Plasma Rifle. Fusion + Rapid Fire Plasma are a deadly combo if you're looking to actually use that Fusion. If you aren't going to see it being used, I'd swap it out. A very fun combination for that, however, is to have a T-L Fusion Blaster + Shield Generator, DS him in to go kamikaze on some tanks. Hehe.

    3) Drop the Seekers on your vehicles - and any markerlights in your squads. They generally won't see any use, and even if they do it won't be very useful. Instead, get Decoy Launchers for ALL of your vehicles, and get Multitrackers as well for any Hammerheads you used, as stated above.

    4) Personally, I love the Shas'ui upgrade for fluff reasons in a FW squad, HOWEVER I don't see the point in giving him a markerlight and a h-w target lock. Too many points going down that drain, and if you're smart, you won't take your FW out of those Devilfish long enough to actually use a Markerlight. If you want Seekers and Markerlights, swap some stuff out and grab a unit of Pathfinders or Tetras.

    5) Just noticed...why is your third Crisis Suit a Shas'vre? The only really good thing about being Shas'vre is twin-linking things - otherwise the upgrades you get aren't the best. He has no twin-linked weapons, so why have him as a Shas'vre? Save the points, or shed some off somewhere to twin-link that Fusion (if it ever gets used!). Believe me, you don't want that one to miss!
