    [1000] Mech Tau

    Dal’yth Mech-Tau Hunter Cadre

    HQ:
    1 Dal’yth Manta Shas’o: 159pts
    Plasma Rifle, Missle Pod, Fusion Blaster, HW Multi-Tracker, HW Drone
    Controller, 2x Shield Drones

    Elites:
    1 Dal’yth Manta Fireknife Crisis Battlesuit: 83pts
    TL Plasma Rifle, Missle Pod, Team Leader, HW Multi-Tracker

    1 Dal’yth Manta Cleansing Fireknife Crisis Battlesuit: 81pts
    TL Plasma Rifle, Fusion Blaster, Team Leader, HW Multi-Tracker

    Troops:
    12 Dal’yth Fire Warriors: 205pts
    Devilfish Troop Carrier, Decoy Launchers

    1 Dal’yth Piranha: 65pts
    Multi-Tracker, Targetting Array

    1 Dal’yth Piranha: 65pts
    Multi-Tracker, Targetting Array

    16 Kroot Carnivore Squad: 112pts

    Fast Attack:
    7 Kroot Hound Pack: 42pts

    Heavy Support:
    1 Dal’yth Railhead Hammerhead Gunship: 185pts
    Railgun, Smart Missle System, Multi-Tracker, Disruption Pods, Decoy Launchers,
    Target Lock

    Total Points: 997pts

    This is the army list I'm attempting to create, though currently I lack the piranha's and 3 kroot hounds. It's use will be for a 1000pt tournment my local store is running (round robin/highest # of wins). We get basically every type of army (so far we've had orcs, tau, marines -vanilla & otherwise, dark eldar, eldar -harlequin troupe, tyranids, I-guard, and we even have a girl starting sisters of battle).

    also, I know the names aren't 100% correct (concerning the crisis suits), but they were the closest fitting.

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

    I'd rather take stealths than Piranhas, you can ditch the 2 Piranhas and get a squad of 4 with 10 points left over, so if you scrouge you can probably grab a sqaud of 6.

    Yeah, I agree with Qwerty. It also makes your army Tourney legal, which gives it so much more legitamacy IMMind.

    Depends on how many tourneys you are bent on playing, and how much cash you have. The FW models are great fun.

    I don't really go to any official tournies, I play for fun and with friends.

    The store I play at every monday night occasionally holds a round robin type tourney (we're currently in one), and when they're not we just do huge multiplayer (like 6+ ) team battles (about 3000-4000 pts per side depending how many players are on a team). We don't go by the offical restrictions for it either (so you can use forgeworld), infact we even have a eldar harlequin player ^^;;

    We're easy going players with basically every type of army available... and apparently some that aren't anymore (stares at harlequin player & his stupid masks)
    Donuts anyone?

    Go Harlies! Word.

    I'd think Games Workshop tourneys would also allow Forgeworld models in play...unless they specifically say no. I read in another thread they allow FW models in tourneys.

    I think some do, and some don't.

    of course I've never even tried to find one more over even participate in one ^^;;

    so I may not be the best to ask.

    Some allow them, most of very intesne ones don't. I love FW models and I think the Piranha's are great, but I'd save them to expand once you've filled up your elite slots.

    that's true... but then again I only have 3 crisis suits currently ^^;; though I could put in some stealth suits (I have 6).

    things to get:
    More crisis suits >.<;;
    more devilfish >.<;;

    I rarely use more than 4 crisis suits in my army, 2 HQ's and 2 Elites, with a squad of stealths as the other elite.
