Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'd delete this if I could, I no longer plan on ever making a Tau army above 1000 points. Perhaps some day in the far future, but for now I'm focusing on the game itself, and in the near future my first 500.

Hmm...I'm not sure if you need the MT on that 'Fish. And...4 seekers? Wasteful! What if the 'Fish gets blown up without you firing all those missiles? The Pathfinders are better, IMO, for actual squads...Crisis, Stealth suits, etc. etc.Originally Posted by Shas'o Tau Dev'n Kauyon
But that's just me.
Aye, but one of the major problems of the campaign is manpower. Vehicles can be repaired, (sometimes) but manpower is much more valuable, and scarce.
At this point in the campaign the main force has recieved some nice back up, thus the Pathfinders/Devilfish. Fluff wise, Pathfinders would be in every Tau army IMO, being the eyes and ears and all.
In the 2000 point army, the seeker missles are more evenly distributed.
Still, my original question stands.
Do Vehicles fall under the 50pt limit for wargear?

Okay, the Devilfish may get more wargear with the demotion of some team leaders then.
I just need to be more familier with the vehicle rules...
I gave it the MT so it could fire on the move, is that unneccesary? If not I'll give it some more defensive measures.
I'd rather not demote my Team Leaders...
If I had my rulebook on me, I could answer that question.Originally Posted by Shas'o Tau Dev'n Kauyon
I believe it is unnecessary, as it can still fire it because it's a "Defensive" weapon as opposed to a higher Strength weapon...if I recall correctly.
The only really big upgrade needed on a 'Fish is the Decoy Launchers.
Awesome, the army list has been changed, and even if they can't have over 50pts it is at 50 pts, so completely legal. Disruption pod and Decoy Launchers, yey! These also decrease the chances of thsoe seeker missiles being wasted.
Thanks LN, I hope someone, including myself can confirm the "defensive" nature of DevilFish weapons.
I don't, it's there for the seeker missles.
Other wise it would have flechetes. Tank shock action!
/bumb due to even further revised edition.
