Well, a bit about me first. It has come to my attention that i need to updade my army. It's a speedfreek force that WAS good in 3rd edition but now its the pants. (Gets some good laughs at the local GW though) SO! After much debate (Much like golem in LOTR) I have decided to do a blood axe force. Why? Because I like them, a bunch of orks running around killing and maiming (With an imperial twist) Appeals to me. So without further annoyingment (New word?) I give you...

A hush fell around the yoofs that had gathered around the old and gnarled komando. "Letz me tell yah about Admiral Dakkafoot," he began "da greatest bood axe commander of dem all!"
"Now, Da Admiral wuz da kinda guy dat had deez ideaz... Very dangerous ideaz. Ee' started his career at da second armegedon war. Ee was justa nob back den, in his very own komando skwad. Now, wut ee did is aftah dah WHAAAAG, da big boss was killed, n he made sure ee got dah job... sneaky style! aftah that ee started workin for da 'umies." One of the yoofs spoke up "Da fool , I aint gonna work for no umie dey weak!" "Shut yah face ya squig brained grot." Yelled the komando. "Now were wuz I..." "When Da Admiral started workin wit dah umies?" "Now theres a smart lad! ahem oh yeah, so ee went wit da umies.. now, dah umies pay him well an ee got a few tanks an learned some tacktikz. So we forward to dah second armegedon war. By now ee is a powahfull warboss wit a big n well equiped army. Now when ee was with the umies ee learned alot of ow dey work, n ee got assigned to da deadlands, dah sothern part of armegedon. ee did a good job.. but on dah main continent it wuzt gong so well. So what ee did was leave dah planet wit his boyz. Now, not too many people know wut appened to him aftah that, but there were many spottingz of him n his komandos raiding all around da galaxy for da highest bidder... granted ya could find him of cource.

Now, im not too sure on the bassies points cost at this moment ( and how much indiect fire is) So i'm going to leave myself a bit of a point gap for it. Remaining points will go into the grot screen and cstomizing a nob's slugga for fluffy reasons.
THINGS TO DO
Give Nobs and slavers and Gunz And killa kanz individual names. These will come slowly when I thing of them. :eek:
Do fluff. This will take a bit, and it might be radically altered alot. Same with squad names, might i know some of them I really don't like but it's all I could think of right now. (The Komandoz names will probably stay)
Well, theres my Blood Axes!
The only problem I have with Kommandos is I don't see people using them (at all), and well, when they are used, they aren't used well. I remember the funniest thing I read about them was something along the lines of
"blood axe kommandos are SO stealthy, they've NEVER been seen by ANYBODY"
What do you want the Kommandos to do? They going to just be hiding in cover and assault something that comes close?
If I were to ever field Kommandos, I'd give the Nob a Rokkit Launcha and I'd give him 3 Ammo Runts. This would give me a 81% chance to hit something with a Rokkit on the 1st turn. At least in this case, they would be anti-vehicle units that would maybe get a hit or 2 in at the start of the game. The other option would be to take ammo runts, but keep them in BtB with your eav'y weapon dude who picked rokkit launcha. Or you could do both (nob with rokkkit, heavy weapon choice with rokkit, both can use runts till they are exhausted)
They'll infiltrate and charge stuff, and if they cant infiltrate they'll walk along with the rest of da boyz acting as a mob up unit (And the two nobs cant hurt!)
About the powah klawz, I think i'll keep them on the komandoz, they are for charging stuff and rippin' da umies' apart in an orgy of close combat-ness.
But, changing the burnaz to rokkitz might be a good idea. Hopefully krump a tank or two But, the buggies have twin linked rokkitz. I'm not sure, i like the burnaz kuz they're very versitile :huh:

the kommandos are getting in close anyway, burnas are the way to go. have you seen the white dwarf blood axe caln list? you can use kommandos as your troops AND elites. If you are gonna go orks go all or nothin' more kommandos.
Hmm, A whole infiltrating army? Could happen. I'm not too sure though, I like the stompy-ness of the footsloggin part, and if the mission dosent allow infiltrating, or its not feasible them your out in the open.
I more took the komandoz for fluffy-esq reasons, and think they might make a good First assault unit, hold up devastator squads and the like while the stompy part of the army marches in.
i dont think you have enough, they'l get shot up... by the way, a basilisk is 120, and indirect fire is 25pts.
If you go by the IG codex for the cost of a Basilisk, then it's 100 points and yes, indirect fire is 25 points.
