So I'm trying to make a stealer based army... I'll not use MCs so don't recomend me to use tyrants or fexses... I don't want to use gaunts fot this army either. I may consider changing to make room for more lictors. Other Tyranids I consider to use are rippers and warriors.
The bigest problem in my list as I can se is that I've got next to nothing that can bust tanks, my broodlord, the lictor and poorly BS:ed zoans. Another would be against orks where they'll mob up agains me... and stealers can't save that many attacks at once. Otherwise I think this is a pretty decent army with lots of rending attacks.
Why have three Zoanthropes then? They don't need synapse since the Genestealers aren't affected by synapse. You only need one for the Raveners, maybe two depending on how you set them up. Instead of Acid Maw, give the Broodlord toxin sacs, he'll mostly be wounding on 2+ and won't need 1 re-roll turn for 3+. Plus now he can go character hunting with more ease, against DP's he needs 4+ (avg.), against SM lords/master/wuttever they called he needs a 2+ (avg.) I would also recommend giving him implant attack. With that he can actually taking out a Nightbringer (on good rolls for him and missed saves for the N.
~Just a question, did you go 8 per squad because the box comes with 8 per chance? Or did you just decide more of 8x rather than less of 12x?

I've zoans for 2 purposes... one for warp blast... it's the only shooting I've and it's good support. Second stalers don't have instinctive behaviour but if they're under synapse they'll pass every ld based roll they've to make. So if they lose combat they'll automaticly stand. Pinning doesn't effect them etc etc... it's very good for tactical purposes.
Oh and broods of 8 seemes just right for a brood size. I get 4 very mobile broods that can hide behind cover easily if needed. Bigger broods semes to always get shot and can't hide very well... smaller brood will become ineffective if they suffer casualties. I've both played games with 6 stealers and 12 stealers and I found that 8 suits be best. (the brood size has nothing to do with the box size) ;P
I'd add in bio acid spore mine clusters, very fluffy with a planetary invasion force such as this.
Plus they make a mess of rear armour and skimmers
