Welcome to Librarium Online!
This is my first post, so dont get mad!
I was going through the Eldar codex, and an idea came up to my mind... Having an alaitoc army where path finders and rangers would be the main core.
7 Squads of 10 Rangers.
2 Squads of 5 Path Finders
1 Squad of 10 Scorpions
That leads to about 1730 points and leaves 300 points for HQ and other tweaks and units... It might be a bit over kill, but thtats 80 Range 36 shots per turn... + The sabotage rules...
Might not be very fun to play with though...
What do you think?
you are going to die against tanks. Cut those ranger units in half, add another so you have 8, and use the rest of your points for HQ and anti-tank. Keep the scorpions
You have just recieved the Amish Computer Virus. Since the Amish don't have computers, it is based on the honor system. So please delete all the files from your computer. Thank you for you cooperation.

I hear that, I changed 2 wraithlords for a fully tooled Scorpion squad with exarch and infiltrate and scorpion claw and grenades and the rest and I will never go back scorpoins + scorpoins claw in the squad + haywire grenades + mandiblasters + infiltrate = IMO the most versatile CC unit in the game.Originally Posted by TheWamp

I love my ranger army they're very good if you use them right.
1) Kill transport tanks
2) Reserve Assault squads that don't deep strike / pin bikes rather than reserve them so they can't move on 24" and get their invulnerable save, instead they sit there and wait to get gunned down
3) Have a plan B when an army uses deep striking units against you (and they will - most games)
"Ah.. i'm almost done with these 3rd quater spreadsheets and still no sign of.."
"What, is up, my dog?"
"Ughhh I'm not your dog"
"Waterman, you crack me up! that's why you're my D-O-G-E"
"Your Doge? What are you talking about? I'm Strong Bad Waterman works in retial shipping resources"
"Ah-ha Good one waterman, I mean good one MY DOG"
I would get some bright lances...if you face a mechanized army your disruption means nothing.
Having an army and not owning a rulebook is like owning a car with no steering wheel.Originally Posted by amishcellphone
Oki, thank you for all the info, i will make up a more detailed list when i have the time! So soon i think
I was just playing around with the idea of making a Ranger Force and instead of Scorps I included Fire Dragons, i realize that would leave you woefully lacking in the CC department but it provides an AMAzing anti-vehicular squad that can be given a dedicated transport. I like your setup though.
