I've been playing Space Marines for about 2-3 years now and decided to go Nid almost on a whim. I'm glad I did, I love putting them together and painting is a frustrating blast.
I've built an army list of 2500 pnts to fight my buddies 3500 Space Marines eventually. I do have 1 question though about the Carni.
Is the following load-out legal since it doesn't really specify in the rule book:
I put an asterisk by the questionable bio-morphs. At 217 I know he's a bit points heavy but thats ok, like I mentioned Im still 1000 points off from being able to fight my buddies entire army so points arent really a problem. For a smaller game I wouldnt go Bio-nutts.
Now I noticed in the Codex that there are *'s next to things in the HT bio-morph list, like an either or scenario. There are a couple items in the Fex list as well but I was wondering on clarification since for both tusked and regen there are different head models.....
If there is an asterix listed next to a biomorph, only one can be taken (like the tail weapons). Otherwise, you are free to combine as you like. Regeneration has a head to show it WYSIWIG, but you could do anything for that really. You could cut one of the tusks off and glue it to the Regen head, or use the tusked head and show damage healing somewhere else on the model.
As far as I can tell from the Codex, your Fex is completely legal.
Bah. If I didn't stop to double check my dex, I woulda beat you Caluin

Thanks guys, truely helpful. Glad to know Im good to go. My Space Marine buddy was gripping about it so I figured I'd get more opinions than ours. Glad to find the community today so I'm sure I'll be around.
