    [1500] Eldar first time

I'm not playing Eldar, nor starting. I'm just trying to understand more of each army. That includes designing armies.
    So please, rip it apart.

    Farseer (99)
    - singing spear, sp
    - Ghost Helm, Runes of Witnessing
    - Guide

    8 Warp Spiders (203)
    - Exarch w/ Withdraw

    15 Defenders (177)
    Warlock w/ witchblade, sp
    - Ghost Helm, Runes of Witnessing
    - Conceal

    15 Defenders (177)
    Warlock w/ witchblade, sp
    - Ghost Helm, Runes of Witnessing
    - Conceal

    15 Defenders (177)
    Warlock w/ witchblade, sp
    - Ghost Helm, Runes of Witnessing
    - Conceal

    Vyper (80)
    TL-starcannon

    Vyper (80)
    TL-starcannon

    Vyper (80)
    TL-starcannon

    4 Dark Reapers (196)
    - Exarch w/ Eldar missile launcher, Fast Shot

    Falcon Tank (225)
    pulse laser, TL-shuriken catapult, TL-starcannon
    Christal Targeting Matrix, Holo-field

    = 1494

My idea was to have the Defenders marching across the field, using cover and Conceal. Once in range, they'd start blasting away. The Far Seer joins them with his Guide.
The Warp Spiders and Vypers would distract the enemy and take out as many threats as possible. The Dark Reapers would aim on the enemy heavies from a safe position. And the Falcon would provide flexible whereever needed, hence the CTM.

I've chosen a lot of weapons with AP3 or better. Not only because many play Marines, but also because I've noticed that (in contrary to Imperial weapons, where the 'weaker' ones have multiple shots and the 'heavier guns' have mostly have single shots) the Eldar have weapons with good AP that shoot as if on steroids.
If only marines would have TL-starcannons...

You should get hold of a codex and re-write the list so it is legal before you can get more comments.

    These are the problems:
Warlocks can't buy ghosthelms or runes of witnessing, and it'd be useless on them anyway.
Vypers can't have twin-linked weapons, neither can Falcons be upgraded with them.

    Look it up and re-write.

Well, I used the Army Builder program for this. The bad thing is that I won't be able to get the book. Thus far for my try at Eldar.
At least I'm glad I won't encounter this many mobile starcannons using marines.

Well, you could always try again when you have lended the book from someone.

    Good hunting until then...

Well, let me take back what I said. With some puzzling using the forum here I hope this is right (points/options):

    Farseer (99)
    - singing spear, sp
    - Ghost Helm, Runes of Witnessing
    - Guide

    8 Warp Spiders (203)
    - Exarch w/ Withdraw

    15 Defenders (167)
    Warlock w/ witchblade, sp, Conceal

    15 Defenders (167)
    Warlock w/ witchblade, sp, Conceal

    15 Defenders (167)
    Warlock w/ witchblade, sp, Conceal

    Vyper (65)
    starcannon

    Vyper (65)
    starcannon

    Vyper (65)
    starcannon

    4 Dark Reapers (196)
    - Exarch w/ Eldar missile launcher, Fast Shot

    Falcon Tank (210)
    starcannon
    Christal Targeting Matrix, Holo-field

    = 1404

Yes, I have 96 pts left. For those I have 2 ideas. A War Walker with 2 starcannons. If I take that, I'd swap one of the starcannons on the Vypers for a bright lance and use it as a kind of kamikaze tank hunter (if he hits, he pays back bigtime). The downside is that I'd have to find a place to waste 4 points over.
The other idea is using the points to get another 12 Defenders, which would be added to the existing units. That would also increase the impact of the Far Seer's Guide.
    What do you think?

The Farseer is fine, but the shuriken pistol is not really useful... you can add it if you happen to have 1 or 2 points left, but right now it just gives you an extra shot before charging if you don't fleet of foot.

Warp Spiders, if you use them cleverly they don't need the Exarch. Downgrade him to save useful points.

About the Guardians, give the Warlocks singing spears since this configuration will be a close range firepower unit. It can be helpful if you need to pop a tank.

If you want a bright lance vyper, you should give it CTM. This way it won't be kamikaze style.

I'm not a fan of reapers, but they can be good against some opponents. Keep them if you like them.

The Falcon should remove the CTM and take Spirit Stones. It can take a lot of punishment anyway, so it's better to use the Holo-field/Spirit stone combo.

    Okay...

Why does the bright lance Vyper need the CTM? The bright lance is an assault weapon.

Let's say I dropped the Reapers, what would you recommend to do with the freed points? Apart from CC Aspect Warriors.

What exactly do you mean with the Falcon?

And for the 2 options I listed for the remaining 96 points, which do you prefer?

The bright lance Vyper can then play "Sniper Vyper", use it to pop tanks from behind a wood. It can manage without, but it requires time because it has BS 3 and is very fragile. CTM is an OK upgrade for Vypers, but not for Falcons. I'll tell you why.

If you dropped the Reapers i'd say take another Falcon.

About the Falcon: When buying a Vyper, you get a weapon and poor armour for a cheap price. When buying a Falcon, you get two weapons and good armour for almost thrice the points of a Vyper, as well as some transport capacity. When paying for armour, it is unwise not to use it taking a CTM instead. A Falcon is best off with Holo-field and Spirit Stone, making it really hard to take down. With two Falcons it is even better, so the enemy won't just use all of their anti-tank power on your single Falcon.

I'd get an infiltrating Scorpion squad, but apart from that maybe a Wraithlord to accompany the Guardians. People will want to charge them, but it is less inviting when you have to expect a counter-charge from a Wraithlord.

Here's the new list. Too bad I couldn't upgrade the witchblades to singing spears.
As I care quite much about fluff, how would I explain a single Wraithlord in this army (without any Wraithguard)?

    Farseer (99)
    - singing spear, sp
    - Ghost Helm, Runes of Witnessing
    - Guide

    8 Warp Spiders (203)
    - Exarch w/ Withdraw

    15 Defenders (167)
    Warlock w/ witchblade, sp, Conceal

    15 Defenders (167)
    Warlock w/ witchblade, sp, Conceal

    15 Defenders (167)
    Warlock w/ witchblade, sp, Conceal

    Vyper (65)
    starcannon

    Vyper (65)
    starcannon

    Vyper (65)
    starcannon

    Wraithlord (120)
    bright lance, 2 flamers

    Falcon Tank (190)
    starcannon
    Holo-field, Spirit Stones

    Falcon Tank (190)
    starcannon
    Holo-field, Spirit Stones

    = 1498
