    500pt Orks... SHOOTEY!!???

    Uhh-huh. Thats right. I've decided to work on a shooty ork army.

    Yes I am serious.

    Ok, heres the basic 500-pt list I whipped up on army builder...criticize it to your hearts content.

    HQ: Warboss with PK, Bionik Arm, Rokkit Launcher, ammo Runt,frag stikkbombs, Bighorns, and a bosspole
    Pts: 117

    Troop:
    16 Shoota Boyz, 2 rokkits, 1 Big Shoota, Nob with Big Horns, Bosspole, ammo runt, Rokkit Launcher, and choppa- 189pts

    17 Shoota Boyz, 2 rokkits, 1 Big Shoota, Nob with Big Horns, Bosspole, Rokkit Launcher, and choppa- 193pts

    Total Pts: 499
    Bodies: 36

    shooty ork armies rule. I play bad moons, can't get enough of those big shootin' Flashies :p
    Looks like a solid list for 500pts, only I wouldn't mix weapons in the shoota units. Make 1 for big shootin, and one for blowin fings up

    P.S are you slickwilly from relic forums too?

    Aye, I am the same implacable Willy form the Relic Forums.

    As for mixing weapons in the shoota units... I was sorta looking for some anti-meq/tank and anti-infantry firepower in the same squads to be more flexible...

    Would it be better if I made on anti-MEQ shoota unit and one anti-infantry shoota unit instead?

    yeah its great army but you should get more guns in one squad and then get small bang bang squad. and with points left over get a big gun or 2 if u got enough points

    Ok, new & slightly improved list:

    HQ:

    Warbiss with PK, Bionik arm, rokkit launcher, frag stikkbombs, bosspole, Cybork Bod,y and an ammo runt- 121pts

    Troop:

    16 shoota boyz, 3 rokkit launchas, Nob with a choppa, rokkit launcha, ammo runt, Big horns, and a bosspole - 171pts

    17 shoota boyz, 3 big shootas, Nob with choppa, Big shoota, ammo runt, Big horns, and a bosspole- 207 pts

    Total pts: 499
    Orks: 38

    Hey, have you ever thought of going feral for the shooting improvements?

    Seems this list would be fine, and you can do some great conversions with Feral Orks.

    For a shooty army take death skulls all with sniper rifles and a basilisk, griffion and leman russ tank. You will love the look on your opponents face when they hear that. For something more conventional you could go feral or the most effective of these is to take in kroot mercanaries (They own, trust me).

    Unless your warboss is tankhunting drop the PK. He'll always die in combat if he strikes at I 1, besides he has a nice initive for a reason. Take a choppa and more boyz instead (tonz of boyz is what ya need for ork shooting).

    Give both your nobs powerclaws, these will own in close combat and can't be picked out. also they make good tankbusting pieces if they need to be.

    That's all I can think of at the moment.
