    certainly a good starters army.
You could also drop 2 gaunt sqauds and add a genestealer brood and something, the genestealers should help if you gonna face any powerarmour.

Your friend will lose in the first turn or 2. The only synapse you have are 3 warriors and the rest of your army can't fight without synapse. The warriors will die and then you will lose.

Not really the most constructieve post here.

For a 500pts game it's good enough as most opponents don't have many heavy in such low games, there is always the option of swapping the warriors for a broodlord and a small retinue of genestealers.

I´ll be going at him with a falcon with my saim-hann, and my tau friend will pack a hammerhead. And when I go alaitoc he will get himself sniped a bit.. Maybe he does need more synapse and anti-tank. But how? You reccomend a broodlord to have an extra synapse critter you say?

I think the warriors would do fine. If you replaced some of the gaunts for a genestealer brood to reduce your reliance on synapse then the army should do fine. As the warriors cannont be instant killed, they're much more likely to survive a lascannon shot rather then an assualt cannon round, due to the number of wounds it will recieve.

If your friend buys the boxed set (3 warriors, 16 gaunts, 8 genestealers and 1 carnifex) he'll get great value for the money.

And by adding a box of gaunts, it'll be the army you posted and then some.

A 4th warrior might be worth it.
    (try proxying)

Dont get me wrong, 3 warriors will survive a long time.
(6 wounds with 3+ saves, no 2x strength insta-killing.. thats staying power)

    Im must voicing my worries.

    (I generally use more stealers)
As of Tyranid 5th Ed. codex I have the Gaunts I wanted. I did, however, loose the sniperfexs I relied upon and they were more important then the gaunts.
