    [2000] Nids

Here's the current implementation, though it changes fairly frequently. Such as a recent addition of a lictor for those extremely annoying whirlwinds and basilisks (and escalation reserve re-roll!). The only real problems I've had recently are against lists with lots of heavy bolters and assault cannons since I only have 56 models on the board.

    HQ:

    Hive Tyrant - 200 points
Enhanced Senses, Flesh Hooks, Toxin Sacs, Wings, 2xTL-Devourers, Warp Field

    Hive Tyrant - 146 points
Enhanced Senses, Toxin Sacs, Extended Carapace, 2xTL-Devourers

    Elites:

    Carnifex - 113 points
    Enhanced Senses, 2xTL-Devourers

    Lictor - 80 points

    Troops:

    8xGenestealers - 160 points
    Extended Carapace

    8xGenestealers - 160 points
    Extended Carapace

    8xGenestealers - 160 points
    Extended Carapace

    8xGenestealers - 160 points
    Extended Carapace

    8xGenestealers - 160 points
    Extended Carapace

    7xGenestealers - 140 points
    Extended Carapace

    Heavy Support:

    Carnifex - 173 points
Enhanced Senses, Extended Carapace, Venom Cannon, Barbed Strangler

    Carnifex - 173 points
Enhanced Senses, Extended Carapace, Venom Cannon, Barbed Strangler

    3xZoanthrope - 175 points
    3xWarp Blast, 1xSynapse Creature

    2000 of 2000.

I basically just try to overrun one flank completely with the stealers, relying on the tyrants and devil-fex to take out skimmers and ap-4 heavy squads. The HS units are there for AV, then the stranglers and ap3 'thropes are decent enough at killing infantry when their job is done. Lictor + Flying tyrant for hidden 'lisks and whirlwinds.

I've dropped all gaunts from my list, as I really don't care for them much. They outpace all synapse except for flying units, which typically have their own roles other than baby-sitting gaunts.... Hopefully one day they will have a biomorph to give warriors fleet! And with 47 stealers on the board, they're going to reach combat :p

I think the list looks pretty deadly but a couple of thoughts:

    - I think the non-flying tyrant could really benefit from some tyrant guards. Tough as nails and will attract alot of fire. Will also let you tyrant do his job much better.

    - I know you said that you don' like gaunts, but you really need some disposable assests. Even if only as fodder, 20 or more spingaunts will only cost you a hundered points. It will also let you sacrfice some units that arn't valuable to your stategy.
