Oh, interesting story. While this army was leaving their Sept. to go on expeditions they happened to leave the Kroot behind, and didn't notice until they landed on another planet.

Just kidding, I just didn't want Kroot in my army. I have them in another army, and they do work, but I wanted to make a larger army without them. That's why I got two gun drones squads instead of Kroot. I notice they do a good job of slowing a advance as Kroot would.
I hope people are having fun.

the kroot are where they are suposed to be, in the garbage! duh! i like the army but i would personally not use twin liked fusion blaster. their not bad but i have actually had more luck with twin linked plasma rifle and drone controller then with twin linked fusion with shield generator. sepcially since you can get extra shots that can pin or an invenurable save.

Hmm, interesting. Well I see you point with the drones and the plasma rifles, but I chose Crisis Team 1 to be my heavy armor killers, however Crisis Team 2 didn't really have a use, other then light infantry destruction, I might try your configuration with team 2.
I hope people are having fun.

After a bit of play I have upgraded my army. Here is the new list:

    3000

    Headquarters: (314)

    Commander: (126)
    Shas'o
Twin-linked Plasma Rifle, Shield Generator, HW Target Lock

    Body Guard: (188 )
    Shas'vre
Burst Cannon, Missile Pod, Shield Generator, HW Multi-Tracker

    Shas'vre
Burst Cannon, Missile Pod, Shield Generator, HW Multi-Tracker

    Elite: (619)

    Crisis Suit Team 1: (214)
    Shas'vre
Twin Linked Fusion Blaster, Shield Generator
    2x Shas'ui
2x Twin Linked Fusion Blaster, 2x Shield Generator

    Crisis Suit Team 2: (205)
    Shas'vre
    Plasma Rifle, Missile Pod, Multi-Tracker
    2x Shas'ui
    2x Plasma Rifle, 2x Missile Pod, 2x Multi-Tracker

    Stealth Suit Team: (200)
    Shas'vre
    Bonded
    5x Shas'ui

    Troop: (964)

    Fire Warrior Team 1: (247)
    Shas'ui
    Bonded, Photon Grenade
    11x Shas'la
    6x Carbine, 11x Photon Grenades
    Devil Fish
    Decoy Launchers, Multi-Tracker

    Fire Warrior Team 2: (247)
    Shas'ui
    Bonded, Photon Grenade
    11x Shas'la
    6x Carbine, 11x Photon Grenades
    Devil Fish
    Decoy Launchers, Multi-Tracker

    Fire Warrior Team 3: (235)
    Shas'ui
    Bonded
    11x Shas'la
    4x Carbine
    Devil Fish
    Decoy Launchers, Multi-Tracker

    Fire Warrior Team 4: (235)
    Shas'ui
    Bonded
    11x Shas'la
    4x Carbine
    Devil Fish
    Decoy Launchers, Multi-Tracker

    Fast Attack: (461)

    Gun Drone Squadron 1: (96)
    8x Gun Drone

    Gun Drone Squadron 2: (96)
    8x Gun Drone

    Pathfinder Team: (269)
    Shas'ui
    Bonded, Hard Wired Target Lock
    7 Shas'la
3x Rail Rifle, 3x Target Lock Interface
    Devilfish
    Decoy Launchers, Multi-Tracker

    Heavy Support: (642)

    Broadside Team: (242)
    Shas'vre
    Multi-Tracker, HW Target Lock
    2x Shas'ui
    2x Multi-Tracker

    Hammerhead Gunships: (400)
    2x Gunships
2x Railguns, 2x Smart Missile System, Decoy Launchers, 2x Multi-Tracker, 2x Target Lock, 4x Seeker Missile

I took away 8 of the Seeker Missiles as I noticed I used them, but not that many. I then put multi-trackers on my Devilfish, and more Carbines in my Firewarriors. I have a tendency to assualt my enemies, and it seems to work when I can unload my Firewarriors and then use the devilfish as a wall that they have get around.

When I mean assualt I mean moving towards and flanking my enemy while still maintaining fire from afar, and also messing them up with my suits. It is really fun to play.

Not very efficient use of points IMO, my 1500pt list has almost equal firepower

I assume you have a limited # of models to make 3000pts which is why you took so many needless upgrades like shas'vre?

    Problems:
    -only one HQ slot?
-arming the shas'o with TL plasma.....? dude he has BS5!
    -his bodyguard have different weapons---why?
-shas'vre on all your elites and you don't even use the hardwired options
-spread your seekers out with so many vehicles none should carry more than one missile
-photon grenades......dont even bother, combat=dead, just cut ur losses and move on
    -broadside shas'vre...useless

you should be able to fill every single slot in 3000 pts, you still have 2 open troop slots

not a bad start, but there are so many wasted points to be trimmed

Well, the body guard counts as the second HQ slot I thought.

I'm using a Forgeworld Model for my HQ, and they won't let me use the rules Forgeworld made for him, so I just gave him a TL Plasma Rifle, and a Shield Generator.

The bodyguards have different weapons, because I also bought Forgeworld Models for them, and they only came with one weapon each, so I gave them the Burst Cannon and Missile Pods, they seem to work well.

I see what you are talking about with the Elite Choices, I'll change that, now that I look at it closer.

I put the seekers on the Hammerheads because I wanted to keep them in the back, I didn't think I had to spread them around.

Well, I guess I see what you mean by the grenades, I just had 24 points left over really.

Once again I see your point on the broad sides.
I hope people are having fun.

Just as an interesting excercise i went and fiddled with ur 3000pt list

    HQ
    Shas'o -PR, ML, multi
    2x bodyguard-PR, ML, multi

    Shas'o -FB, ML, multi
    2x bodyguard-FB, ML, multi

    Elites
    3x Crisis -PR, ML, multi
    3x Crisis -PR, ML, multi
    6x Stealth -bonded

    Troops
    12x FW -shas'ui, bonded
    devilfish, decoys

    12x FW -shas'ui, bonded
    devilfish, decoys

    12x FW -shas'ui, bonded
    devilfish, decoys

    12x FW -shas'ui, bonded
    devilfish, decoys

    Fast Attack
    8x gundrones
    8x gundrones
    6x pathfinders -3 Tl RRs
    devilfish -decoys

    Heavy Support
2x Hammerhead -RG, SMS, multi, target, decoy, seeker
    3x broadside -2 target lock, 1 multi (or visa-versa, dosn't matter)

Just my personal note is that i find pathfinders pretty useless, even in a battle this big what are they really going to do. So one option is to trade them for another mech firewarrior unit.
Generally 3000pts has the same number of tanks as 1500 pts as most ppl min/max. Which means that most 3000 pt armies are very troop heavy so i dont know if 48 firewarriors will cut it.....

Hmm, well ain't that interesting, after you posted I looked at my list harder, and did some changing of my own. I really don't like the Fireknife combo, in my 1200 point army I have a unit of three of them, and they don't seem to be as good as they are made out, of course it could just be my style of play.

Well this is my updated list:

    Headquarters: (634)

    Commander 1: (129)
    Shas'o
Burst Cannon, Missile Pod, Shield Generator, HW Multi-Tracker

    Body Guard 1: (188 )
    2x Shas'vre
    2x Burst Cannon, 2x Missile Pod, 2x Shield Generator, 2x HW Multi-Tracker

    Commander 2: (129)
    Shas'o
Burst Cannon, Missile Pod, Shield Generator, HW Multi-Tracker

    Body Guard 2: (188 )
    2x Shas'vre
    2x Burst Cannon, 2x Missile Pod, 2x Shield Generator, 2x HW Multi-Tracker

    Elite: (632)

    Crisis Suit Team 1: (221)
    Shas'vre
Twin Linked Fusion Blaster, Shield Generator, HW Target Lock
    2x Shas'ui
2x Twin Linked Fusion Blaster, 2x Shield Generator

    Crisis Suit Team 2: (221)
    Shas'vre
Twin Linked Fusion Blaster, Shield Generator, HW Target Lock
    2x Shas'ui
2x Twin Linked Fusion Blaster, 2x Shield Generator

    Stealth Suit Team: (190)
    6x Shas'ui
    Bonded

    Troop: (940)

    Fire Warrior Team 1: (235)
    Shas'ui
    Bonded
    11x Shas'la
    6x Carbine
    Devil Fish
    Decoy Launchers, Multi-Tracker

    Fire Warrior Team 2: (235)
    Shas'ui
    Bonded
    11x Shas'la
    6x Carbine
    Devil Fish
    Decoy Launchers, Multi-Tracker

    Fire Warrior Team 3: (235)
    Shas'ui
    Bonded
    11x Shas'la
    4x Carbine
    Devil Fish
    Decoy Launchers, Multi-Tracker

    Fire Warrior Team 4: (235)
    Shas'ui
    Bonded
    11x Shas'la
    4x Carbine
    Devil Fish
    Decoy Launchers, Multi-Tracker

    Fast Attack: (192)

    Gun Drone Squadron 1: (96)
    8x Gun Drone

    Gun Drone Squadron 2: (96)
    8x Gun Drone

    Heavy Support: (602)

    Broadside Team: (242)
    Shas'vre
    Multi-Tracker, HW Target Lock
    2x Shas'ui
    2x Multi-Tracker

    Hammerhead Gunships: (360)
    2x Gunships
    2x Railguns, 2x Smart Missile System, 2x Decoy Launchers, 2x Multi-Tracker, 2x Target Lock

I do not want to change the configuration on my two Shas'o, because they are two expensive Forge World Battlesuits, that I painted very well, and I want to have them lead my army. The body guards I could care less what they are armed with, but you did suggest they be armed with the same as the commander.
I hope people are having fun.
