This is take two from a previous post I did, taking into account some advice and doing some more reading. The HT and Fex are designed to lay down the heavy fire and let my minions advance. My main opponent will be the Tau, but I could be facing Marines, Sisters, and Eldar. The only drawback is, with the exception of ripper swarms and 2 Biovores, this is all the models that I have. Let me know your opinions on this army and if you see any glaring holes.
Take Extended Carapace on the tyrant instead of the Warp Field. 10 extra points for a 6+ invul is not worth it at all.
And any specific reason for fleshborers on the warriors instead of devourers?
I'd also suggest to remove the scuttlers from the stealers, drop the raveners, and just load up on more stealers... but if these are your only models, they should perform okay.
Yes those are all the models I currently own, which is why Im only fielding 1500 pts instead of more Anyway, something that I should have put up in my post is that I will always use my brood of Raveners. They have racked up more kills than all my other bugs, even the big ones. Not to mention I have done several tests of that brood versus My Hive Tyrant and Canifex and they tear through both like tissue paper.
The Warp Field was just because I had the extra points and I guess I see your point. Cover saves are usually better than 6+ maybe Ill drop that and give my Warriors Devourers. That would be less 10 points from the Tyrant and plus 8 pts for the upgrade. leaving me with 2pts. Maybe I should take off the flesh hooks on the two Fex's too giving me 4pts. The hooks were just put in to make the even 1500 anyway.
The Scuttling is there for a reason. My stealers got hosed in my last game. They were one turn away from getting into combat before they were obliterated. Besides, getting the stealers one turn closer to the target will make him up his plans to kill them sooner leaving some other priority target like the warriors or the Tyrant with one turn more freedom. Though when I test it out, I may just drop it depending on how the Stealers do. Quite honestly they have always been blown to bits before I could really use them effectively so with me atleast, Im not to fond of Stealers to begin with. Maybe if I actually saw them in combat, I might change my mind.
Any more help would be greatly appreciated
