    New DE playa

After playing the SM to death, I have finally decided to check out some other armies and the Dark Eldar stuck out. I have heard that they really arn't that good, but after looking at the codex I think they are amazing. I'm playing a friend's eldar with this list soon and I was wondering if I could get some feedback. It's a 1500 point game and I'm thinking I put way too many points into the HQ ( I really want to see that retinue in action though ) and that I don't have enough troops, 40 basic guys probably won't cut it. Anyway, Dark Eldar are very interesting and a good change from the Space Marines. Thanks in advance!

Unless I read the rules wrong, night shields suck majorly. Of course, if I didn't, keep 'em.
Other than that, your set, three ravagers, ouch
How many Inquisitors does it take to screw in a lightbulb? Three,
one to screw it in, one to outlaw lightbulbs, and one to deny lightbulbs ever existed.

Whats wrong with Night Shields? They sound pretty useful to me, they might prevent being shot at for the first turn or two.

It doesn't really do quite enough. Most of the weapons an Eldar player will be using to kill your vehicles have a 36" range. Against a Night Shield, that's effectively a 30" range. Unless you can guarantee that you'll be deploying those vehicles more than 30" away from those weapons, the Night Shield is useless. In night-fight situations it's probably okay, since the average maximum visual range will be 21", but otherwise it's probably a waste of points.
Why do the survivors remain anonymous -- as if cursed -- while the dead are revered? Why do we cling to what we lose while we ignore what we still hold?
Name none of the fallen, for they stood in our place, and stand there still in each moment of our lives.

Might help against rapid fire weapons, especailly Glauss Rifles...dumb necrons...

But yeah, 10 shots instead of 20 could mean the diffrence between life and death of your raiders. Very situational.
