    Saim hamm 1500pts

    Hi guys just thought id run this list past you all. Dont be too harsh now or i might cry!

    I know that saim hann isnt the most powerful craftworld but i do really enjoy running rings around whoever it is im fighting (one reason why i hate speed freeks...). Also it does have a very cool image and background and i like the way it plays to the 'traditional' eldar image of speedy and elite.

    Ow. My flaming power armour.

    Wow. That's a lot of starcannons.

    Not a very big list numbers wise though, and you didn't take the vehicle upgrades to be able to leapfrog from cover to shoot starcannons to cover. Similarly, the bike squads are going to get shot up.

    Mind you, you have a lot of firepower and speed. You could probably kill most everything on one section of a board in one round of shooting. Better make sure the rest of his/her army doesn't have a line of sight on you afterwards though.

    too many star cannons do you think? i do tend to get embarrassed when the space marines start to complain. i thought that four was about right as you don't want to mess about with shuriken cannons when playing 4+ or better saves esp. when you have as few models as saim hann get.
    i didnt go with the CTM as it is alot of points (IMO far too much for vypers) and that would have cut down my numbers even more. i can see it being worthwhile with the falcon however. would you recommend it over the holofield bearing in mind the falcon has too come out of cover at some point to drop the dragons off?

    Hmm. I wasn't trying to say it was too many starcannons. I've seen an Eldar list that had too many starcannons. I had 15 of them. Gah. At least 6 of them were on warwalkers.

    And as for the space marine players complaining, well better them complaining about losing to your (supposed) cheese, than them bragging that they beat you in spite of your (supposed) cheese.

    No. I wasn't trying to say that the list was cheesy. Just very fragile.
    As for vehicle upgrades, as you say, you have a small list due to their expense, but a few more upgrades on your falcon wouldn't kill you and would make it much more survivable.

    Why? what is he going to guide? I would rather give him fortune and have him join a squad, you can then give him a witch blade and a shirken catapult and turn him into a CC monster ot go tank hunting with a re-rollable inv save

    hate to say it but you are strppaed for points, I would do one of 2 things, either ditch one of the avenger squads and use the points tart up stuff, or ditch the vypers with shuriken cannons and use the points to tart up stuff

    either way I would ditch the dragons and use the falcon for fire support

    i can understand what you are saying about the fire dragons. the reasoning behind the farseer with guide was that he could cast it on the falcon and advengers although i see that fortune might be more useful with such a small force. i didnt take spirit stones because i didnt think that they were worth it although i must admit that i have no experience with using them. the vyper with 2 shuriken cannons went in because i already ahve the model but it shouldnt break the bank too much to buy another.

    You should have enough tank busting power vs. most armies.

    My only suggestions (and I don't have any experience with Saim Hann, it's only thrown out as an alternative) is drop the dire avengers. Replace one squad with Warp Spiders. Replace the other squad with 2 sets of stormies w/ haywire / melta weapons (and if you have the points a warlock w/ singing spear).
