    [1500] Tyranids (Friendly, Budget)

Okay, I took into the consideration the comments people have made on the two lists I posted. I finally sat down and did the math on the spore mines and decided to cut down on them. I'm going to play around with either using the 24 points on 2 bio-acid spore mines or buying scuttlers for one of my genestealer squads. There should (hopefully) be enough cover for me to be able to move at least one squad without having it get shot at too much, so I'm hoping to get away with having them be in front of everything else.

If you drop 2 zoanthropes and the Synapse power on the last one, you can afford 3 guards for the Hive Tyrant. I'd rather secure the Tyrant and rely on him and the warriors for Synapse than the zoanthropes.

Alternatively, you could drop a termagaunt unit for 2 guards, since the termagaunts are 96pts, it would land you on 1500pts straight...

I'm running a winged CC tyrant... so a guard isn't really an option. The next Tyrant I put together is going to be shooty w/ guard, but that'll be awhile. I'm trying to not make very significant changes to the list so that I can avoid spending much more money than I absolutely must.

This brings up the other point I meant to make. I already have all of these models purchased except for 2 of the Zoanthropes. I am, at the absolute most, willing to drop another $50US into this army for now... so, I'm a bit limited on the changes I can make. Different biomorphs, sure. A few extra Genestealers or what not, sure. Adding in two Carnifex... no. Meant to bring that up right away, unfortunately I can't use the edit feature reliably from work so I had to wait.
