I wrote this Dark Eldar force last night and I'll probably end up putting it together on the run to use once I go into Winter War in January. I don't know how much time I'll have to practice with it, but the way it plays seems fairly straightforward so I don't think that it will take an extensive amount of practice to use this one.
Anyway, you'll notice that this is a modification of the All-Out speed list I put forward earlier and I tried to make it as much take all comers as possible. The majority of players I will be facing, however, are Chaos Space Marines, Space Marines, and Imperial Guard with a few other types but not too many of those. There is only one other person using Dark Eldar, as far as I know, and he's going with a Haemonculus Household.
Essentially, I think this would be a good surprise army to spring on people and even if I lose, I'll go down smiling all the way.
EDIT: After reading the tactica article, which was HIGHLY informative - excellent work guys, I've decided to make a few changes to my army. Nothing major. Here's the updated list.
Archon - Punisher, Combat Drugs, Tormentor Helm, Shadow Field, Animus Vitae - 150 points
3 Incubi, 2 Warriors (Retinue) - 2 Splinter Cannons, Raider, [Horrorfex] - 171 points
10 Wyches - Wych Weapons, Succubus, [Agoniser], Raider, [Horrorfex] - 213 points
10 Dark Eldar Warriors - 2 Dark Lances - 100 points
10 Dark Eldar Warriors - 2 Dark Lances - 100 points
10 Dark Eldar Warriors - Sybarite, Splinter Cannon, Raider, [Horrorfex] - 156 points
Ravager - Horrorfex - 110 points
Total: 1000 points
Models: 46 + 4 vehicles
Anti-Infantry: 26 models
Anti-Tank: 5 models (7 guns total)
Sacrificial Lambs: 16 models
Questions? Comments? Suggestions? They're all welcome. Thanks in advance.

Ok.... screw the punisher, give him an agoniser, just a better weapon. Don't take incubi, just get lots of warriors. Incubi are basically 25 space marines, not worth it.
Elites are good,
troops are ok, I would probably have 2 raider squads, and one sniper squad, not the way you have it, but whatever, it works.
Heavy support.... Yeah, ravager with 3 dark lances is good. But, since you already have the 2 sniper squads, I would either take a ravagter with desintegrators, or make the other sniper squad a raider squad. The other thing, take the horrofex of.... so many units these days are fearless or something anyway, just a waste of points.

Pssst.... give me kudos....
What article is this? Can you give a link?
I'm always on the lookout for tactical ideas.
I didn't see that one before!
Thankyou for the link!
Nice archon, he looks a lot like mine. The punisher is an exelent choice, and is far supirior to the agoniser in most situations. However, I would ditch the retuine and stick the lord in a raider squad, as a retuine prevents him from using the powerful 12" drug charge.Originally Posted by NiteRabbitAgain, good choice, this is where agonisers belong. I would also give grenades to this squad, they have an insane I, so why not make the best of it?Originally Posted by NiteRabbitThe dark lance squads is right on, but the sybarite in the raider squad seriously need a power weapon, as raider squads are very likely to end up in assault.Originally Posted by NiteRabbitUnlike raiders, ravagers does not need horrorfexes. In fact, they need to stay 24"-36" away from the enemy at all times, so ideally you shouldnt even be able to fire it. Get some disentegrators too, as they can be fired as defensive weapons, unlike the dark lances that wont let you fire more than one on them pr turn.Originally Posted by NiteRabbit
I don't understand how sticking the Archon in a Raider squad will make a difference in terms of using the 12" Assault Move. How will putting him with the Incubi prevent him from using it?
because to save points. in small games like these dont waste points on retinues, espeically incubi, they are majour point sink. people think they are so good but they are not. take a squad of 6-7 wyches with weapons and succubus with agoniser and plasma grenades and put them no raider with a dracon. give dracon wat you got now or drop torm helm and punisher for agoniser and sp. also give him a hell mask  this can save ur dracon. the number of wyches are too high, and wyches are really fragile so take small squads of 6-7 10 is too much, so if they die you dont lose muhc points, theres a good chance the raider will get shot down, and the wyches will get shot down.
with the points left give ur ravanger 3 dissies and give that radier a squad a blaster.
you want to know who your versing first, before you take those horrorfex. or those points will be wasted.
do gods exist in this world? or did man just made god in his image? if you do not agree answer this, why do we portrait gods as humans? why do our gods look like us? if gods are mighty and powerful then why do they look like the weak.
OK, I should have updated my list awhile ago, but given the most recent suggestions, I decided to change it a little. In the interest of money and time, I decided that a few things are non-negotiable but I decided to try something a little different...
- Dropped the Retinue, since people seem to think it's so terrible in such a small game and, come to think of it, it probably is.
- Added a squad of Reaver Jetbikes with Blasters
- Reduced the number of Wyches in the Raider Squad from 10 to 7
Archon - Tormentor Helm, Punisher, Combat Drugs, Animus Vitae, Shadow Field - 150 points
7 Wyches - Wych Weapons, Plasma Grenades, Wych Succubus, [Agoniser], Raider - 196 points
10 Warriors - 2 Dark Lances - 100 points
10 Warriors - 2 Dark Lances - 100 points
10 Warriors - Raider, Sybarite, [Power Weapon] - 156 points
5 Reaver Jetbikes - 2 Blasters, Wych Succubus, [Power Weapon] - 176 points
Ravager - 3 Disintegrators - 120 points
I can't change the Tormentor Helm/Punisher combo on the Archon now, or rather, I don't want to because I like it and because I've already painted the model...well...actually, it's just an Incubus that's been specially painted, but I like that model
I'm mainly facing Iron Warriors and various other Space Marine Chapters and Chaos Space Marine legions, most of which are probably going to use loads of heavy weapons, so I thought a Jetbike squad that could support the Raiders, Tank Hunt, and tie up Space Marines would be useful.
I'd like to just say my mind on the list, if its no trouble. Keep in mind this is all according to my play style, so you'll need to decide for yourself if you like it or not.
First off, I like your original list more. Incubi, even in small numbers are extreamly effective against heavy armor troops. Jhagadurn says they're like space marines that cost 25, but I totally disagree. Put your rutine against a tactical squad of 10 and see what happens, my money is on the incubi. I would urge you not to use your leader's squad to tie up units, however. They have few numbers and are for sure fragil, like every other Dark Eldar unit.
Due to the Dark Eldar speed, tieing up ranged units in close combat is extremely easy. And to do this, wych squads are invaluable. Not only are they able to smash weak enemies to pieces, but they don't instantly die against the harder ones. Your minimum movement (with a charge) with a wych squad is 21", and this can go up to 32" depending on fleet of foot and drugs. In my last 1000 point list, I fielded two of these units and them along with my leader's runtine took out 1000 points of Necron warriors (and two lords). A major plus with this set up is that I have three raiders, which means I have three darklances to shoot from three diffrent sources, so worring about anti-tank measures isn't a concern.
I havn't used raider squads much yet, as they seem pretty useless compaired to wyches, which I am more than willing to sacrifice atleast an extra 4 points each to use them. I can, however, see their use against small weak creatures like many Tyrnnids or Imperial Guard troops. The darklance squads are nice, though. They're only 100 points, so if they get wiped out its no biggy, and they can shoot down bigger models, or tanks, and the 8 other warriors will take enough hits or hold their own against a weaker assault. I see no need to make them bigger.
Your archon is really spendy. I would consiter dropping some stuff and maybe make him an dracon. If he gets killed, it'd really hurt you, but if its just a dracon thats 70 or so points, it doesn't hurt so much if he does happen to go down. In my opinion, if he is that cheap, a shadow field isn't really needed, so you could drop that as well. As long as he is in a raider and with a rutine, he doesn't have much to fear at range, and in close combat, the impressive initiatives of the squad will deal with almost any threat.
If you go with a ravanger, I'd strongly urge you to take Disitigrators, otherwise to fire more than one you can only move 6 inches, if I'm not mistaken.
No comment on reavers, I'm not sure if I like them or not yet.
Buttt, if you felt like putting in the points, you could get a squad of 5 mandrakes. They don't do overly well in anything, but they're enough to keep someone from shooting a unit that you don't want dead for a turn, and the hidden deployment and keep your opponent paranoid, especially if he doesn't know what they do. :w00t:
