Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hey there. Was just mulling around a few things and trying to get closer to an army that i really can feel comfortable with. I just recently received a Broodlord for Christmas so its something new I can toss around. The CFex's are 99% stable as they have worked extremely well. Other units, especially the HT, Warriors and the Broodlord/retinue definitly need some opinions.
Here we go
1-Hive Tyrant: Flesh hooks, Toxic Miasma, +1S, Winged, Scything Talons(x2), Warp Field=188pts
1-Broodlord: +1SV, Flesh hooks, Rending claws, Scything Talons
6-Genestealers: +1SV, Flesh hooks, Rending claws=209pts
1-Lictor: Rending claws, Scything Talons=80pts
4-Shooty Warriors: +1BS, +1SV, +1S, Rending Claws, Deathspitters(x3), Venom cannon(x1)=162pts
4-CC Warriors: +1SV, Flesh hooks, Leaping, Rending Claws, Scything Talons=148pts
10-Hormagaunts: Scything Talons=100pts
10-Hormagaunts: Scything Talons=100pts
9-Genestealers: +1SV, Rending claws=180pts
3-Raveners: Rending Claws, Scything Talons=120pts
2-Raveners: Rending claws, Scything Talons=80pts
2-Biovores: Bio-Acid Mines=110pts
1-Carnifex: +1BS, +1SV, Flesh Hooks, +1W, Barbed Strangler, Venom Cannon=188pts
1-Carnifex: +1BS, +1SV, Flesh hooks, +1W, Barbed Strangler, Venom Cannon=188pts
I was also thinking that since I have an extra CFex, I was gonna turn him into a DakkaFex. However I would need to eliminate 113pts from my army. If you think this is a good idea, let me know what I should remove to put "Uncle Jimbo" in.
Hey yourself.Originally Posted by Tragedy316By stable you mean that they're not open to removal or change? Fair enough. Good thing you point that beforehand. Makes our job easier.Originally Posted by Tragedy316Wheeee!Originally Posted by Tragedy316Pretty good. Has a specific purpose, and sticks to it, so all is good.Originally Posted by Tragedy316I suggest dropping the Flesh Hooks. You could probably keep them on the Broodlord if you felt necessary, but you definetly don't need them on the Genestealers. With saved points, buy toxin sacs for the Broodlord.Originally Posted by Tragedy316Fine.Originally Posted by Tragedy316Pretty good layout. I like 'em.Originally Posted by Tragedy316Very nice. You might consider dropping in some Init. adrenal glands.Originally Posted by Tragedy316Originally Posted by Tragedy316
I don't have much to say on your troops - they look fine, from my standpoint.Five Raveners can make two groups of two and one group of one, which will be a bit better than the way you have them now. Once that's done, you could give the single Rav a spinefist and run him with one of the other broods.Originally Posted by Tragedy316More on this in a second.Originally Posted by Tragedy316These look fine. I do think the Extra Wound is overkill, but not as bad as other things I've seen. If they work for you, then great, keep them the way they are. They're good fexes, and probably serve you very well.Originally Posted by Tragedy316Well, obviously, you'll have to drop either an Elites choice or a Heavy Support choice, since you don't have any free FO slots to fit him in. The best two options are the Biovores and the Lictor, since the Gunfexes are good, and you need the Warriors for Synapse. Since the Biovores are 110 points... only three points shy of what you are lacking, they're the better candidate. For the three missing points, you take the flesh hooks off the Carnifexes and add those points to the free one you already have, and just like that you have 113 points free, and an open FO slot.Originally Posted by Tragedy316
And yes, the Dakkafex will be better than the biovores.
Very solid thinking from the beast with five heads. What exactly is stfu anyway?
Yes the CFex's are my personal pets. Brother and Sister Fex have become a serious bane against all that I play. The 5 wounds, 2+ save makes them laugh at anything shooty(yes Even Lascannons, Rail Guns, and that wichahigger the Eldar have). The only thing that has successfully stopped them at this point were 2 Exorcists and a Leman Russ in one turn. Exorcists had 11 shots that turn and I was using the fexes at 3+ instead of 2+, a mistake that will not happen again.
Yes by taking out the Biovores, I will have exactly enough points for the Dakkafex(minus the flesh hooks of course, which were really only point holders to begin with).
Ill have to see about the flesh hooks on the stealers. I am regularly having to "dig" my opponents out of cover and flesh hooks might be the best thing.
I also overlooked the Ag(I) for the warriors. I will tweak a bit to see if I can afford the points for them. Much needed in fights with other I4 people.
