My friends won't mind me being 50 pts over as long as they can use 50 extra points. Anyway this is for friendly battles. Any advice, constructive critisism, comments? Thx!
IMO you have to much stuff on your tyant, for the warriors i would recomend Barbed Strangeler in stead of Devourers, and make the Zoanthropes synapse, otherwise you would only have 2 Synapse Creatures.
That Tyrant has a LOT of upgrades, I think you could trim him down a bit.
First of all, it seems a bit pointless to give a TMC rending claws, as he already ignores saves and is quite good at penetrating armour, another set of scything talons are far more effective.
Fleshhooks seem silly, he already has wings, so when does he need to climb up impassable terrain?
As for the other upgrades, they're usually a matter of personal taste. Toxic miasma, both adrenal glands and implant attack are very usefull against characters, but they're overkill or useless against most units. So if your Tyrant is a character hunter, go for it, but if not I'd save the points.
I think your warriors are illegal, each warrior has to have 2 weapon upgrades, and the points just dont add up. I highly recommend giving all your warriors rending claws, as that makes them very dangerous and more than capable of handling themselves in CC. Extended carapace is another really good upgrade, as it allows them saves against bolterfire, toxin sacs would be good as well, as the devourers sort of need it and it greatly improves the venom cannon.
Implant attack on genestealers seems a bit odd, its a character killer upgrade and the genestealers should be chewing through armoured infantry, even if they were to go character hunting, they're rending claws and good stats make them more than capable of this.
As for the scything talons, I prefer to give them extended carapace (again, I'm afraid of bolters), and I think giving them 2 upgrades is too pricey.. but its a personal choice.
The hormagaunts are good, but have you considered dividing them into units of 8 instead? It means more targets for the enemy and a better chance of good fleet of claw rolls.
I've always thought it a waste not to give raveners rending claws, they have lots of attacks which means a high probability for 6's. As for the devourers, I find them too expensive as the raveners rarely stand around and shoot, and I dont want to risk killing all the models within their assault range.
Zoanthropes are heavy support, not fast attack. It would be silly to have the flying tyrant babysitting the gaunts, and as Synapse is pretty cheap for zoanthropes, they could do this very well.
You're paying a lot of points for a twinlinked venomcannon, so most people give their Sniper/Gunfexes a barbed strangler as well as a venom cannon. Personally I also give my Gunfexes Bonded Exoskeleton and Reinforced Chitin, but thats a matter of personal taste.
