[1000] Eldar - Ulthwe Craftworld Army

Please note that this is NOT an Ulthwe Strike Force army. I really like the colour scheme for Ulthwe and really, the only two criteria for this list were fun and what would look best with the Ulthwe colour scheme. All the models here were chosen because I think they look good with it.

While it's not the usual competitive standard of most Eldar lists, I wonder how this one would fare against other armies at 1000 points. It's just a casual list anyway and remember that the only criteria for this list were things that look good in the Ulthwe colour scheme. So, what do all you wiser and more experienced Farseers think?

Eh... please write more details on the Seer Council, list each model and write what it has.

The Seer Council is a basic one, out of the box as I didn't have many points left after taking all of the other stuff. 2 Farseers and 3 Warlocks. 2 Warlocks have the Augment power while the one of the Farseers has Mind War and the other one has Fortune. Both of the Farseers have Ghost Helms and Runes of Witnessing.

Then this is what I suggest; add another Warlock to the council, give it Enhance. Give the powerless Warlock Embolden, give all the Warlocks Pistol and close combat weapon. Then give the Farseers Witchblades and pistols.

To afford this you should drop the Dark Reaper Exarch.

You might want to go as far that you drop all the Reapers and get a Falcon as well, with Star cannon, Pulse laser, Holo-field and Spirit stone.

I agree with victor on the seer-council but i disagree with the dark reapers being removed. I for one do dislike the wraithlords. I think they are tough but don't offer much of a punch. I would remove them instead in favour of the falcon as mentioned and get an aspect with some speed to it (warp spiders yay!!!, swooping hawks are also good). If you can't afford them then maybe the Dark Reaper exarch can go and some gaurdians. If not then how about a vyper. I just think the army could do with abit more speed in it.

I've taken most of the suggestions into account after checking out the models. I think they'd all look great in the Ulthwe colour scheme so that makes things a lot less complicated for me.

i prefer ur old one as this simply lacks the numbers that ulthwe' reley on

ur seer council is a big sink as u've tooled it for cc but thats not what the seer council is good for, it all comes down to it has no killing power even with witchblades ur gonna be lucky to take down 3 models i find the seer council is best used in a more supportive role and only thrown into cc at extreme circumstances

also that lone vyper is just asking to be shot down by a bolt pistol

and i'm with heiromyo in that i hate the wl's so i would suggest drooping it in favor of either a storm guardian unit or some rangers

I like the second list more, but I think you should drop a Guardian and buy a Star cannon for the Vyper.

Plague_00, Seer Councils are good for tying up enemies in CC in order to prevent them from getting to your fragile Guardians. So CC stuff on them is fine, they're not good shooters anyway. I throw them into CC all the time, they are great for that role since they soak up wounds easy.
