    Well my friend (Tau) and I have come across the fun of 2K point battles and I'm starting a Tyranids army. Soooo...I decided to get some comments first.

    You might want some rending as well for suits and broadsides etc. you might want to add some genestealers to your troops to help you warriors and lictors even Raveners could help.

    flesh hooks are definately useful in heavy terrain battlefields, implant attacks are only useful vs multi wound characters so it depends who you want it to go up against.

    split these squads up, 4 squads of hormas hand 2 squads of termaguants, I prefer both adrenal glands to toxin sacs, without striking 1st then you have no defence for there attacks.

    Lictors are fine just remember there not uber.

    change both cc carnifexes to the 3rd config, its about the best around, cc carnies are just to slow, if you want to include them you make them cheap and put them in elite, otherwise its a big no no.

    since it will be difficult to make your gargoyles a bigger size id suggest dropping them and getting 2 raveners with rnding claws and scything talons. put adrenal gland on your warriors, id also suggest dropping a carnifex in favor of 3 zoanthropse with synapse creature and warp blast, this will give you the extra synapse you need, then just drop a few guants and youl be within 2000pts.     Hmmm...well first things first I'm facing Tau so Initiative isn't a problem. I was thinking of taking two carni's of the 3rd statline and one CC fex mainly for when Commander farsight and his loads of crisis come in through deep-strike like they always do. The lictors are just to hold up some firewarrior squads so I don't get fired on much when everything is marching up to CC.

    The problem is that you only have 7 synapse creatures for 72 things that need it, disregard the initiative on warriors, that will give you 18 pts, drop the gargoyles there to small, add either 3 raveners for cc or this fex,
    carnifex 111pts
    adrenal glands ws
    acid maw
    2x scything talons

    You will be able to instakill him anyway, 5 rerolling attacks on the charge are pretty fearsome especially since they ignore saves and can autokill.

    Just remember if hes using farsights hes got to abide by the farsight enclave rules (unless of course hes using the new codex, then i have no idea)

    If you do use the carnifex then you will be able to have an extra horma or 2 termaguants.

    As what has been said, drop one of the 1st cc fex's and make the second much cheaper. Maybe just tusks, X2 ST and AG-I. You'll need 2 gun fex's to keep the hammerheads quiet for a lot of the game bcause their sub shots REALLY hurts gaunts, especially when markerlight .

    I'd also save some points on the tyrant by droppping the IA. If it goes against the battle suits it doesn't matter how long it tyakes to kill them, as long as they're in cc and not shooting. Definitely split the termies and hormies up. If you give him more targtes to shoot at it'll be hard for him to kill you in the few turn he has of shooting.

    You could drop the TS on the warriors, as they're be rellting rending mostly, although wounding on 2's is handy. Definitely drop the gargoyles, and add another unit of warriors. You need the synapse. move one unit of warriors up behind the winged tyrant for mobile cover, as winged warriors are fragile, especially against Tau.

    Alright, I'm glad to have gotten this much advice so here some some changes.

    1.Drop all the Gargoyles

    2.Drop 207 Pts. Carnifex

    3.Add Carnifex Described in post #7

    4.Add a unit of 2 Zoanthopes

    5.Add another unit of Warriors (same stats)

    6.Change other 207 Pts. Carnifex to 188 Pts. one

    7.Give Winged Tyrant symbiote Rippers

    Comes out even at 2000pts exactly

    It should work well so good luck, just wipe out his firewarriors in cc shoot down his big things with zoans and shooty carnifex, and use your shooty units to attack commander farsight on deepstrike turn, and counter charge with cc fex. (even if fex doesnt get its points back it should at least hold up the200+ pts unit, long enough so the more vunerable things can move out of range)
