    2000 pts Feral Orks (For the love of Squggoths)

    OK I do not have a single Ork model as we speak, but I'm hankering to build some scratch built Squiggoths cause I think they're just too cool. Anyway I'm thinking about building this army after I finish my Ogres. (or something like this as this is where you all come in.)


    HQ: 427
    Warboss: Powerclaw, Choppa, Super Cyboar, Shiny Bitz, Big Horns
    -Retinu: pigdoc, nobz*5 all on cyboars & frag stinkbombs (1 nob with burna) rest have U'ge choppa's
    Wyrdboy: 'Uge Choppa

    Elites: 361
    20 Brutes burna x2, Nob w/burna (5 go with wierdboy)
    15 Brutes burna x2, Nob w/burna

    Troops: 330
    10 Huntas rokkit launcha x2 110

    10 Boarboyz: frag stinkbombs, Nob w/bangstick on cyboar 162

    Cost 2000 pts on the nose

    I've never played a game involving feral orks, so I'm not sure if this is viable, but it seem like it will work. Stratigy plans: Put the squiggoths together out in the open (like you can hide 3 modles as long as the deployment zone) down the primary fire lane. Shoot the heck out of anything that gets into their los support with hunta's & use brutes & boarboys as countercharge.

    Also my plans for building the Squiggoth's make for the 12 shoota's optional they can just as easily be taken off and fielded as more hunta boys.

    Firstly the nobs are fine with just choppas, the wyrdboy is not needed. You have way, way, way, way, too little men in this list, my brother has more in 1k. The MS are extremely overpriced, they should not be that expensive, also what is your biggest advantages over regular orks, madboyz obviously. They are the most nasty unit in the game for their points:yes: , also if you want to shoot beef up the huntas and get some trappas. The list needs a lot of improvement. GL

    Ya my low model count (for orks anyway) was bothering me. After some consideration I realized that I don't really need all that much speed as this is a shooty list. (That and the darn Warboss Bodyguard was too spendy.)

    Revision: points by memory so I may be a little off.

    comment: made warboss a footslogger to go with Brutes, this cheapened him up and got rid of his expensive bodyguard. Also the Wyrdboy stayes for sentimental reasons. (I just loved these guys in 2nd edition)

    added 1 hunta squad and 2 madboy squads (madboys repace the boarboys for countercharge & are more cost effective I think)

    comments: left them the same though I do see the merit in perhaps loosing the shoota's: more durability, but less firepower. As I said before I plan to model these so they can swing either way.

    lose one hunta squad for a hugegrot unit with a slaver with rokkit and squigghound. Also I would drop the pigdocs, they generally suck and instead get 'yge choppas on your nobz and some protection for the wyrdboy. Good luck (BTW it looks a lot better)
