    thats almost 900 points, and as fave as Anti tank, the Gauss rule and Heavy Destroyers.

    That'd be good to start, then as you learn more from the codex you'll be getting you can fill out the remaining points.

    If I were to tell yeah, I'd be breaking the Forum Rules, but either way a monolith would easily push you over 1000 points, I suggest buying the codex first and fore most.

    Monolith should never be used for anti-tank, its weapons are short ranged and aren't reliable enough to take out tanks.

    There are 3 main ways to stop tanks;

    1) Gauss - since just about every necron gun has it just pound a tank until it cracks,not always great but can save you more times than you think (just don't rely on it).

    2) Scarabs - Take a unit of scarabs and give them disruption fields they make supreme tank hunters, they will usually eat through many times their own points in tanks and now they can turbo boost they are awesome.

    3) Heavy destroyers - These guys are the last word in necron anti-tank, flying lascannons really. They will take out most tanks in about 2 or 3 shots tops.

    In 1000 points I would avoid heavy destroyers since they cost a huge amount of points and their small squad size means they do not like return fire.

    Buy the codex, for if we were to tell you, we'd be breaking the rules.

    This site is not a resource for getting the rules for free.

    It is not a breach of the forum rules to say that the Gauss rule for Necron weapons makes this possible. For the application of this, get the codex.

    Ok if there is anything you take from this post concerning anti tank Necron tactics it should be Heavy Destroyers and most importantly Scarabs with D Fields. With there speed, Pile of attacks and of course the D Field they simply make anything with a Armor Rating there five letter word that rhymes with itch. Feel free to quote me your first game that you own some poor guys tank.
