in about a month and a half there will be a teams tourney at my local game store. its looking like ill be playing with a space wolf player. he will have a venerable dread, supremely good for me! each team get 1500 points and they must be within 50 points of each other, so army sizes from 725-775. i have been debating playing my fledgling iyanden force in this tourney as it will be a nice change from my tyranids of doom! if i dont take this list i will be playin a tyranid list with 5 monstorous creatures, evil.
farseer mind war runes of witnessing
i think it would be worth while to lose a vyper for a spirit seer with conceal, but i am not sure if the loss of a starcannon is worth it. with the brighlances i should be able to take out any tank problems that may arise, and the vypers should pound some marines a bit then die, its kinda what they do. my buddy will probably get a little relief from incoming fire with me fielding the vypers and wraithlords, hopefully buying charges for multiple power fist blood claw charges. this list seem a bit weak considering my opponents will be sitting on 1500 points of killing power. any advice on what i can do to get the edge up to par with an iyanden list at 750?
or should i just go with the broken 5 monstorous creatures?

sorry about that i was over by quite a bit, oops.
Seems about what you can just about fit in a 750pts army for the Iyanden Craftworld. Personally if it's a tornament, speed will be your best friend not toughness. I would advise removing a wraithlord and that vyper for a falcon with starcannon and all the usual upgrades. The rest of your army will make a nice anti-tank side of the force, so I would advise you to ask your partner to gear up on some anti-infantry and numbers. I would advise against mindwar and would advise you to go with either fortune or Guide, because 3+ re-rollable saves on space marines!?! Space marines will also have quite a nasty bit of shooting so it would be benefit both of you to take a farseer with either of those powers.
wow didnt even think about the falcon, but i really like the idea, as well as changing the farseer around.
thanks a ton i will have to talk to my space pups buddy today!
The problem with Iyanden lists in small games like this is that 1: You can't deal with hordes since all your units are good against Tanks or Marines. 2: You will be outnumbered by everyone and their brother.
If anything to save this list, get rid of a Wraithguard unit and a Wraithlord in favor of some Warp Spiders, Guardians or Dire Avengers. Anything that adds bulk and that can deal with hordes.
Also let your Farseer walk with the Wraithguard unit to avoid Wraithsight. You might want to give him another power as well; Fortune.
