I am starting eldar now and since I heard craftworld is leaving I chose to still do mech anyway (and a mech eldar list won my last tourney, I as third).
6 fire dragons
7 warp spiders
9 howling banshees
TL Bright lance
9 Storm Guardians
9 storm guardians
16 Defender guardians
X2 2 vypers
2 shuriken cannons each
come on anyone
Personally I'm not feeling the storm guardians, but maybe the flame template will come through for you. It's got the mobility but I'm not so sure about it's Ooomph.
Still it's probably the best way to go if you want to go mechanized with a vanilla list. Though when the new codex and dire avengers some out you may find you prefir them.
I wouldn't bother with scythes. Just not generally that usefull. If you have spare Pts you could get your farseer some extra gear.
I also don't think I'd bother with the one unmechanized unit. They just provide the enemy with something to shoot at/assault if they can't hurt the rest of your army.
The fire dragon exarc is probably overkill, especially for the extra points they cost.
Also I'd avoid having grouped vypers. Just drop one of the dual shuri cannon ones. The reason is that together they can be destroyed by one units shooting and hits will have to be divided in the unit. I.E. if one vyper gets stunned and shaken it's just stunned for a turn. If a group gets stunned and shaken neither can shoot and neither can move(since that would destroy the one left behind).
With the points from the vyper, the exarc and that squad you can get another upgraded flacon and fill it with with some well equiped/warlocked or you could ditch the other shuri vyper as well and just get yourself two extra falcons. I think I like that more. The falcons are a beast and they can pick up squads in crashed wave serpents.
That is also important in that you need to have enough heavy skimmers out there to thin their fire out. You aren't going to be able to hide them all on the first turn so put the guardian ones forward and hope they take the hits instead of the falcons. Then pick up the survivors with a falcon.
Oh and while skimmers don't block line of sight in the heat of battle opponents can forget that. It isn't your job to remind them (and usually you won't know if they've forgotten anyway as they might just want to target the vehicles in the way).
