..or maybe he's not bothered with effectiveness.

Most speed freek armies are in combat by the second turn or damn near close. I hope that single shot is well worth it and doesn't blow a huge hole in his own boyz.

At this point my friends and I are just learning the ropes and what units we like. Two of my friends have to proxy most of their armies atm, so we aren't worried about the Fluff at this point. Though once we start up a campaign we likely will be so when that time comes I'll work it out then

As for the Basi, it was actually hugely effective. It was a 2v2 and both my opponetns were Tau. In the 6 Shots the Basi got throughout the game, 4 hit and 2 of those hits wiped out over 50% of those units, seriously crippling the Tau. It helped in our achievement of total annihliation as the game ended and no Tau remained on the board.

However, not sure how I feel about the Freaks, may not be my cup of tea. Wanted to try em out cause in my previous games my Boyz weren't effective at all, barely getting into CC if at all and do have to say my 2 units of Trukk boyz did very well despite the fact that out of the 2 only a single Nob lived.

I strongly recommend a loote demolisher over a looted bassie. Like others have said, speed freaks are in combat fast so the effectiveness of the basilisk is not nearly as high as when you are using it in a slow, foot slogging horde that won't reach combat until 4th + turn.

Demolishers soak up a lot of fire and clean sweeps everything that the boys don't kill, which is a good bonus for a speed freak army.

Also, You have way too many points invested in your boss/nobs on a bike. I doubt they will do anything of nearly that value on the battle field.

Thanks for the feedback, definetly like the Demolisher! Redid the army a bit, still unsure if Freaks are my thing, but may try them out again soon. How does this look?

    Biker Boss
    Eavy Armour
    Bionik Bonce
    Bionik Arm
    Choppa
    Tankbusta Bombs
    138

    Warbikes x7
    Warbike Nob
    Bionik Arm
    Power Klaw
    297

    Trukk Boyz x9
    1x Rokkit
    Nob
    Power Klaw
    Slugga
    More Dakka
    Wartrukk
    Rokkit
    Red Paint Job
    Riggers
    Armour Plates
    181

    Trukk Boyz x9
    1x Rokkit
    Nob
    Power Klaw
    Bionik Arm
    Rokkit
    Wartrukk
    Rokkit
    Red Paint Job
    Riggers
    Armour Plates
    194

    Demolisher
    Heavy Bolter
    Red Paint Job
    Grot Riggers
    Armour Plates
    190

    1000

I have an affinity to Warbikes, had alot of fun with them in the few games I've used em and had some great success with them. Though wondering if I should just cut them out and use those points for another load of Trukk Boyz along with a few Rokkit Buggies.

The second list looks much better.

I'm not a fan of bionik arms. A single S4 hit won't do much at all, especially for its price. Same goes for the tank busta bombs on the warboss. If a vehicle move's 6", they hit on a
6+. Its a warboss!!! He should be out in the middle of the fight crumpin' 'umines. I give my warboss a power klaw so if any tanks come to close, you can charge in with 6x S10 attacks.

The trukk boys look good. I like burnas better than rokkits. 3x S3+2d6 attacks do better than 1x S8 shot at BS2. Plus in combat they can chew through MEQs cause they are power weapons if you don't shoot with them in the same turn.

But everything is personal opinion, nice list.

Thanks! I've been trying out the Bionik Arms on the Nobz lately cause I if I give them a Rokkit, Power Klaw and Bionik Arm, then they can get off a pop shot in the shooting phase with the Rokkit, then once in CC they still get an extra attack for having 2 weapons due to the PK and Bionik Arm combo. So really the Bionik arm gives 2 extra attacks, the auto S4 hit, plus an extra attack for having two hand to hand weapons.

But I agree with ya about the point cost of em, so if I only go with that make-up if I have the points to spare. I'll try and free up a few popints to get a PK on my Warboss though...

Since Burnas and Rokkits are the same points I'll likely swap them out depending on whom I'm playing. I like the Rokkits against Necrons becuase the S9 AP3 hit means insta death for a Necron Warrior with no "we'll be back roll". Though with a burna I would be getting 3 no save shots in CC and chances are he'd fail one of those 3 we'll be back rolls and I'm more likely to take 3 guys out with a burna in CC than I am with a rokkit in the shooting phase...

Of course the S10 AP2 hit of the demolisher cannon will pretty much squish anything he has, lol...

I fully read the rules on the Bionik arm and I change my opinion on it. It causes an autocatic S4 hit AND counts as an extra hand weapon. I think I'll have to use a few....
