Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'll preface this post by saying I'm new to the game and this is my first army. :w00t:
I am going to be joining a Cities of Death campaign where I have to field a 1000pt army that can compete against the following: Tau, Eldar, Orks, Imperial Guard, Necrons, Space Marines, and Choas SM. I'm trying to come up with a balanced, sufficiently diverse force where all units compliment each other. Unfortunately, my knowledge of the various units and tactics from the variety of armies involved is quite limited. (I'm trying to improve that situation but there's alot to read! ).
I was hoping I could get some advice on my current army list. It is pretty much limited by the models I currently own but I'm always willing to expand (funds allowing ). In addition to the models listed below I seem to have acquired something like 12 scarab swarms.
1000 Pts - Necrons Roster - int13h
HQ: Lord (1#, 200 Pts)
SoL; RO; VoD
Elite: Flayed Ones (6#, 108 Pts)
Troops: Warriors (10#, 180 Pts)
Troops: Warriors (10#, 180 Pts)
Fast Attack: Destroyers (3#, 150 Pts)
Fast Attack: Wraiths (3#, 123 Pts)
Heavy Support: Tomb Spyder (1#, 55 Pts)
Total Roster Cost: 996
There you have it! Let me know what you all think and how I might improve the list. In the mean time I'll be checking out all the great info found in these forums. Thanks!!!

Just to let you know, copying down copyrighted material is not lalowed on this site, and so I strongly suggest you edit your post, deleting all point costs of individual Wargear.
On another note, I like your list. I am a huge fan of Flayed Ones and Wraiths, and they're even better then usual in Cities of Death, what with the Wraithflight and Infiltrate abilities.
Your destroyer squadron looks nice, good for Cityfighting, as they can harrass Heavy Weapons teams, Armour, and light infantry alike. Only thing I would watch out for though is the difficult terrain tests you'll have to make to move them [I might be wrong, do jetbikes need to take that in CoD?].
Unless oyu are in serious trouble with WBB with Necrons not getting it because of the 6" restriction, I might dropt he Spyder, as you should be fairly protected from shooting by the buildings, and there are far more usful CC support units [Wraiths, Pariahs, FOs].
I might bump the Flayed one squad up to atleast 8 strong, as they wil be a good unit for capturing objectives because of Infiltration. Another thing I would consider is dropping the Veil from your lord, as it appears you don't have any befy Immortal sqauds to 'port around.
Well, best of luck, hope I helped.

The post has been edited. Thanks for the heads up! I should have thought about that before I posted. DUH!
Also thanks for your suggestions on the list.
In answer to your quetions about terrain tests for the destroyers I don't think they have to test in difficult terrain, just dangerous terrain when they're passing through.
I have already considered removing the VoD for the very reason you stated. I had come up with an alternate Lord cfg but Im not sure about it either.
SoL; Chrono; DB; Phy; RO
I was thinking of joining him to my destroyer squad but I don't know...
I'm really still just exploring my options.
