ok this is my first list for orks. its based on 2 squads of slugga boys. a question on the power claw i know its make the strengt 2 time but does it strike like a power fist with initative 1.
hq- warboss: power claw, slugga more dakka upgrade, heavy armour= 98
troops- 16x slugga boyz 2 burnas= 156
16x slugga boyz 2 burnas= 156
heavy support- 2 killer kans wepon options depends on the oponent.
Yep, power claws do strike at initiative one. They are still worth it, because when you give him a chopper too, you can choose which weapon to use. That warboss can get some INSANE initiative, and sometimes you'll want to use it.
I love killa kanz, they are one of my favorite ork mobz. In such small games like these, they are either going to rock, or die a horrid death. My inner warboss says dropem. Using the points you gained from dropping the kanz, you can get a nob armed with both a powah klaw and choppa in both your mobz. This way, you still get your power attacks, but now they have some nice meat shields protecting them from something nasty.
Otherwise, a good attempt at an orkish 500 point list. Footsloggers are at a disadvantage in these smaller point games.
its unlikely that you will be facing any vehicles in this small a game, but some rokkits might help. they're cheaper than burnas so you can fit a bit of extra wargear in and they do ok against most stuff, but much better against marines and the like. kans i think would be fine unless you're facing tau, where they would get completely owned unless they walked up through cover the whole time.
