Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'm just wondering how this army list will do against most armies:
Archon with agoniser, combat drugs, hell mask and shadowfield 135
1 sybarite 14
7 warriors 56
2 warriors with dark lances 36
1 sybarite with blaster and agoniser 39
8 warriors 64
2 warriors with splinter rifles 36
1 ravager with 3 disintegrators 120
This army is exactly 500 points. The spaces indicates each squad. The sybarites are not included with the number of DE warriors, they are counted separately just FYI. All comments are welcome.

Ok, first a little general pointer for you; you dont just buy a unit composed of random wargear and put it on the field, they gotta have a purpose. A purpose could be anti-tank, anti-MEQ or anti-horde, and even being an 'all purpose' unit is a purpose too, but you seem to waste a large amount of points on stuff that has no purpose what so ever, or fails to live up to the purpose you planned for that unit. Let me help you out;Originally Posted by ChunkzFirst mistake. Agonisers are fine weapons on sybarites, wyches and lesser lords, but what does a mighty archon need an agoniser for when he could be wounding guardsmen on a 2+, or marines on a 3+? And dont say that you want him to hunt MCs, because that is what you want your sybarites for, Give him a punisher and a t-helm, otherwise hes a fine lord.Originally Posted by Chunkz
Considering the style of your list, dont you think that you would be better of with a 45 point haemunculi? You will get into assault far too late to make the archon useful, so why not just save the archon for bigger battles? What is the purpose of that sybarite? That squad has heavy weapons, so it wont be advancing to an assault position, which he isnt equipped for anyway, then what? Save the points, and deop the syb.. you dont need him.Originally Posted by ChunkzWhy has the syberite got both the blaster AND the agoniser? Let him keep his splinter pistol for that extra attack in CC, and give the blaster to someone else. Also, flesh the squad out a bit so that they can handle CC.Originally Posted by ChunkzNice! I would reccomend a night shield though.. those things save ravagers by the hundreds every day,Originally Posted by Chunkz
Thanks for the comment. I made this list sorta in a rush just to see how people would think of it.
How can an archon wound guardsmen on a 2+ and marines on 3+? With what weapon? If you could just point out some things for me I'm kind of new to Dark Eldar too. I don't really want to use the haemunculi as my HQ since he has a lower WS, Attacks etc. he won't perform better in cc than an archon/dracon. And one more thing, can haemunculis use only the haemunculi weapons or can it use any wargear?Originally Posted by Sareld
Combat Drugs +1 Str, Punisher +1 str, that's Str 5 Archon.
Since it's 500 points though, it doesn't need to be an archon, make a dracon, and I would just give it a t. helm, punisher and drugs, or switch the drugs for a shadowfield to keep him cheap. With 500 points, you never want an uber lord. And if worse comes to worse, give him an agoniser, s. pistol, and shadowfield and he should do good, but not amazing.
Make the squad of 9 warriors and they sybarite, to the standard 10 warriors, 2 dark lance squad for 100 points.
The second squad your lord should move with. It should be something like 8 warriors, a splinter cannon and/or a blaster, then a sybarite with an agoniser and s. pistol, put them on a raider and let them fly into battle.
The Ravager is good as it is, especially in small point games.
Another unit that is sometimes very helpful in small games is the warp beast pack, I once had them rip through 2 fire warrior squads. 24 str 4 attacks on the charge at 75 points? Seems worth it.
Anyway, hope this helps.
I somewhat disagree with you on your advice on the lord, Dims. As the lord desperately needs to be in CC to be worthwile, and as this army is relatively slow, I would never drop the drugs. Furthermore, as the lord will be charging onward alone, I would keep the shadow field on him to keep him alive, and now that he is already well equipped and somewhat expensive, why not throw in the extra 25 points to get +1WS, +1W, +1I and +1A? I never understood the people who uses drachons when they could get archons..
If a player needs a cheap HQ, especially in a shooty list like this, haemunculi are the way to go. A fully equipped haemunculi comes to 45 points, and has a really nice flamer weapon as his primary weapon, and to back that up he actually has some skills in CC, that will allow him to mop damaged squads or injured MCs. Jup, haemunculus are definately an overlooked HQ unit.
