Welcome to Librarium Online!
Gave away necrons soem time ago, but want to get back in. heres my 1000, and 1500 points lists.
HQ - necron lord
res prb, staff of light
T - 10x warriors
T - 10x Warriors
FA - 5x Scarabs
E - 8x Immortals
HS - 3x Heavy Destroyers
total - 999
-NEXT 500 POINTS...-
FA - 3x Destroyers
HS - 2x Tomb Spyders
HS - Monolith
TOTAL - 1500
- the heavy destroyers in your list are chewing up a lot of poitns for the relative points they can make back. In the majority of Cron players' opinions, Destroyers are far far superior purely based on the number of shots you can pump out. In a Necron army, you really don't need to worry about having high-strength shots as even the lowliest Trooper can kill a tank with the right rolls thanks to Gauss weaponry. As it is, this unit costs 195 pts. With only 3 shots per turn. for five more points, you can buy yourself 4 Destroyers, which can pump out 12 shots per turn, and having a higher chance of hurting a tank, as well as giving you option to decimate infantry squads as well.
- The scarabs with D-fields are great fun to use, but I would try and fit in at least another base, as even six bases do not last that long under sustained enemy fire. I run 8 in my list. And they always get they're points back. Easily.
- Monolith looks great.
- Two Spyders is an interesting choice. Most people would go for one at most, but I actually like the idea of this. Play with it for a while and see how it goes.
- Your immortals are the most important unit in the Necron army. I would ideally either want to bump up this squad to 10, or get another 8-man squad in there by sacrificing a less important unit.
Remember, keep your eye on your Phase Out count, and remember that the Monolith will more often than not, keep your expensive units alive longer through teleportation.
Let us know how it goes.
Hope this helps. And one last thing, if this was helpful, click the star on the left of this post to show your thanks!

Quannum, funkin' out in every way. Since 1987.
thanks for the feed back,
look, with the heavies, ive had bad experiences with carnifexs and wraith lords, termis and similar. thats what these guys specialise at, and with destoryers and immortals already in the list anyway, i think ap2 firepwoer is whats its about, rather than the strength of the shots. also, i use wraiths later on, in 2k games, so id like that fast attack slot open.
if i was gonna put more immortals in, id have to take out the monolith (all can think of) and i like it in there. but i can give both a go...
as for thre tomb spyders, these guys are mini wraith lords of their own that also help well be back. and for around 56 points, these guys are cheap as for t6, s6 monsters.
but thanks again dude. just cant decide now if want these guys or dark eldar....damn choices!!!!!!!
Not perfect. 10 more warriors (or 10 flayed ones if you'd like) are sorely needed. Your phase out is at all of 8 models right now, which given a 6 game turn means your opponent only has to kill 4 necrons a turn which pretty much anyone should be able to do.T - 10x warriors
T - 10x WarriorsThese are fine, although depending on how you adapt the list you might want to drop them/add to them as points allow (said Captain Obvious )FA - 5x Scarabs
-disruption fieldsExcellent. Immortals kick major ass in 1000 point games. ^_^E - 8x ImmortalsThis is bad. What on earth in a 1000 point game is going to require THREE h.destroyers? You've got more than enough tank busting abilities in your immortals and your scarabs, and for how often you ever run up against tyranid MCs and wraithlords they're certainly not worth it. If you really must a single h.destroyer will probably do the trick for what you need (make sure you keep it out of LoS as it won't get a WBB roll ever) but investing in more warriors would be way better. If you do run up against nasty things you can always starve them of targets/swamp them with hits as these aren't exactly poor tactical choices. :/HS - 3x Heavy DestroyersAlways a good choice. ^_^ Maybe if you find extra points add a few more, but it's not really a priority.-NEXT 500 POINTS...-
FA - 3x DestroyersNot worth the points for how few warriors you have (especially two of the things). For how much they add in terms of WBB ability you're really not getting much. You can keep your warriors seperated if you want to, but who in their right mind would ever do something that foolish (especially when the rez orb is the only thing their lord bought)? Flayed ones are going to do about as much CC damage and are going to massively improve your phase out. Simply put, you NEED more warriors or flayed ones or you're going to get massacred. In a six turn game you're sitting at 4 and 1/3rd necrons needing to die per turn, AND your destroyer and h.destroyer squads are small enough to get wiped out in a single turn of shooting easily (thus getting no WBB rolls, meaning theres a quick 3 outta 4 or 5 without any hassle already). Honestly I can't picture any opponent not looking at the phase out total and not thinking 'easy game'.HS - 2x Tomb Spyders
clawsFor the size of the game, and how badly you're lacking in phase out, drop it and get warriors.HS - Monolith
