Welcome to Librarium Online!
Following my necron theme of late, here's another list:
Lord w/ destroyer body, phylactery, rez orb.
3 Heavy Destroyers
Basically the army shoots everything to hell with highly mobile untis, backed up by the nightbringer to kill of any cc threats. 15 S6 gauss shots a turn should kill almost anything.
The other version of this list uses 3 tomb spyders to help in cc/shooting/toughness instead of the heavy destroyers, and leaves 10 pts for the lord to have a warsythe.
What do you think?
swap him for worriors and immortals, or two lords and a monolith, they wont know what to shoot at, just make the whole army look like a wall of pain and force them to be indicisive
In the name of god impure souls of the living dead shal be banished into eturnal damnation. Amen.
If you did field an army like this I would suggest focusing fire. Suprisingly most people dont use this tactic as I have seen. The necrons especially can benefit from it. Pick the easiest to kill unit and wipe it out, then pick the next and so on. Only fire at that single unit until it is destroyed, then pick another one. Now you have to be careful as to what order you fire your units in, but this tactic works wonders as it can really destroy an opponents plans. Enemies that I face usually pick a unit, fire at it, then seemingly pick a totally random different unit and fire at that when they could have killed the first one. The most important thing with this strategy is you have to stick to it, eventually he will be left with one unit that cant possibly take on all the units you have left.
As always I hate h.destroyers (useless things they are) so I'd advise you to lose those, especially if you're thinking of bringing a c'tan (your destroyers are better at popping tanks, and the only 2+ save things to really worry about typically are going to get beaten up on by your c'tan or have low numbers to the point where your destroyers are fine anyway). Next I'd say lose the lord, he really doesn't serve any purpose that the c'tan isn't already doing better (before you say 'WELL WHAT ABOUT THE REZ ORB', I'll make note that with your destroyers' mobility you should be able to pick and choose your targets without opening yourself up to overly hazardous return fire, so casualities shouldn't be too much of an issue in most cases). Next I'd suggest you switch out the nightbringer for the deceiver, as he can still beat the crap outta pretty much everything in CC, is cheaper, and has some cooler abilities. Use the points you've saved to get more warriors on the field, as your phase out is disgustingly low as it stands right now. You have room for at least 24 more warriors, I suggest you make good use of said cap room. If you want to tempt fate a bit more you could throw in 15 more warriors and 6 immortals (giving you 56 necrons total, losing 3 extra necrons which wouldn't hurt that badly) although anything beyond that (in terms of fewer warriors and more immortals) would probably be pushing it.
