I know, that they are legal now, however, i am a bit nervous at the idea of spending money on an army that my not even be legal for any length of time, I mean to say, is there any idea of whether or not the kroot will become a full time army? I hope so, as the idea of the Kroot has always appealed to me... im sorry, if this has been asked before can someone please pull up a link....thanks in advance.
"Why me?" Gideon begged, falling to his knees.
He looked pleadingly at the Haemonculi who regarded him with a twisted smile. As the door slammed shut, Gideon could hear Vect's laughter echoing off the walls of the corridor beyond, the Dark Lord's voice carried into the torture chamber:
unless you plan on going to lots and lots of tournaments, or the people you play with are uptight jerks, don't worry about it. Most people will be cool with letting kroot mercs play. (They see it as an easy win most of the time).
My opionion, if some one doesnt agree to play with out because of a slight difference in something, like a semi tourney approved army, which is completely reasonable, then they arent worth playing in the first place. People like that need to lighten up and have fun. it's not all about the rules. I mean look at FW. They are a respected branch of GW, yet in all their books they talk about how their models and rules are meant to be used in friendly games that bend the rules to fit with the senario. WH40k doesnt always have to be a perfect x pts vs x pts, not a point off.
So don't let the current status of the kroot mercs discourage you from start up one. If you think it would be fun (and I will vouch that it is, even when you loose all the time), then go for it, and don't let anyone mess with you cause you're army "isn't legal," because even if GW drops it from their list of armies that can be used in tournies, it doesn't mean the list is invalid or can't be used.
Whew...that quite the rant... Hope my oppinions are useful to you in makign a decision.
Yea, seriously. EVen if the army isn't legal in tournaments, peopel who aren't jerkoffs will still let you play friendly games with them.
Also, if you can get good with them, I imagine it would be very fun to flout your victories on occasion.
