    1500 Mech Tau

    Tried to change up the usual Fireknife configuration for my battlesuit teams as well as tried to squeeze a 3rd hammerhead into my list. Please tell me what you think.

    This guy will deal damage to termies and oblits, but as he is he's better off deep striking, so I think you'll be better off with a fusion blaster. Gives him the option of taking out tanks, and instakilling oblits.

    Make him a Shas'O to give him BS5 as well as WS4 so he's hit on 4's in combat. You can lose the stims, and a shield drone (not both), they're not worth it.

    Remember the commander doesn't score, but his shield drone does. If he loses his shield drone to shooting, he can't be shot at unless the closest, combine this with aggressive fire warriors (make them closer than him) and he's pretty survivable. One thing to remember though, don't deep strike within charge range of powerfists, unless they're obliterators (you kill them good, they're slow, and they hit you on 4's).

    Don't mix weapons. In fact, don't take anything but plasma and missile on elites full stop. Don't take units of 3 either. They should be 124pts, 139pts (targeting array), or 169pts (2 shield drones).

    These are fine, but personally I think it's too many points for too great a variance (unreliability). Take 4.

    So you're just going to hide the devilfish? Then at least consider a targetting array. They however take up precious terrain that you could be using to hide your crisis, stealths, and shaken hammerheads. Give them the full kit, decoys, array, multi, plus what you got. Use them aggressively.

    Decoys are compulsory on hammerheads. They're the epitome of a no-brainer. Also, smart missiles and target lock are really useful.

    So, new list:

    Shas'O - plasma, fusion, multi, shield drone 127
    Shas'el - plasma, missile, array, hwmulti 97

    2 Crisis - plasma, missile, multi, team leader, array 139
    2 Crisis - team leader, plasma, missile, array, hwmulti 77
    4 Stealths 120
