Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hi. I'm totally new to this forum. I started on tau online, but it wasn't all I was looking for. I look foward to meeting cool tyranid players, and players in general. Well, skipping formalities, I have a one thousand point list. Please critique it. If you hate it, Don't worry. I haven't even baught most of the models yet. Well, here's the list:
1000 POINT LIST: TYRANIDS
HQ (166 points)
1) Hive Tyrant
Biomorphs/Upgrades: Wings, Scything Talons, Scything Talons, Warp Field
Elites (100 points)
1) Warrior Brood (3)
Biomorphs/Upgrades: Enhanced Senses, Extended Carapace, Scything Talons, 2xDeathspitter, 1xVenom Cannon
Troops (472 points)
1) Termagaunt Brood (16)
2) Hormagaunt Brood (16)
Biomorphs/Upgrades: Adrenal Glands (I), Adrenal Glands (WS)
3) Genestealer Brood (6)
4) Ripper Swarm Brood (5)
Fast Attack (129 points)
1) Warrior Brood (3)
bimorphs/Upgrades: Adrenal (WS), Adrenal (I), Wings, Scything Talons, Rending Claws
Heavy Support (130 points)
1) Zoanthrope (x2)
Biomorphs/Upgrades (Zoanthrope 1): Warp Blast, Synapse Creature
Biomorphs/Upgrades (Zoanthrope 2): Warp Blast, Synapse Creature
997 POINTS TOTAL
Tactically, I'm going for diversity. I'll admit, another monsterous creature would've helped against my tau buddy, but overall, I'm hoping the list can be a sort of effective vanilla anti-anything kind of force. Like I said, critique this. Make suggestions. Tell me what you liek and what you dislike.
Later on, when you start to develop 1500s and want to try advanced tactics, try out a "Devil Tyrant". They can be absolutely vicious... but for your points total, this guy's perfect.
Damn, this is a really good list. And you don't even have many models? You must have been studying your codex! Good job.
I agree with poptarts that flying warriors are too fragile (but there are others on this forum who love them). I would either change them to cc warriors with leaping (that way they get the caraopace) or just make them into another shooting brood.
I would also swap the scuttlers for carapace on the GS's, lose the AG(WS) on the hormies, cut down the rippers a little bit, and try to squeeze in another squad of carapaced genestealers... you can never have too many of them!
Although, it looks like a very playable list how you have it.
Tyranids: 2500 pts
Imperial Guard: 1000 pts
