    mid december tournament, help me with my list

    ok. as i said i have a tournament mid december that im trying to prepar for.

    my opponents will be necron, nids, marines, chaos marines, and eldar. possibly orks.

    its 1850 pts and the list im designing now is at 1606. i need mobility in the list. any pointers will be dearly loved.

    Maybe its because I haven't used it much, but I always considered Eldritch Storm to be kind of worthless as it needs a 5 to wound almost anything, or are you taking it for anti-tank?

    The only problem I forsee with this is that guardians tend to miss with single-shot weapons, but if you need the extra anti-tank, then I'd say keep it like it is.

    Looks good, except that once again, War Walkers have a somewhat low BS to be using single-shot missile launchers, but I guess since you have 3 of them, it will probably be okay.

    thats alot of pathfinders. If they work for you keep em, but id drop a squad, split the other in half. Then use the points to get some kind of assault unit. Scorpions, Spears, Banshees, something to give your list a prayer in combat, cause right now your tactics involve shooting and praying you kill what ever is closest to you in hopes you don't get assaulted.

    You definately want to give the Banshees transport. If they have to footslog all the way to the enemy, they probably won't survive the shooting.

    I tend to prefer Executioners on my Banshee Exarchs. A Triskele doesn't have a very high strength rating.

    Also, I would take anything but Chainsabres on my Scorpion Exarch. An Exarch with Chainsabres makes his attacks with his base strength.

    Otherwise, it looks better.

    where can i spare points to make those changes? and another fear is that one transport will just be a target. the plan was to keep my close combat units with the rest of the army, and if the enemy has infiltrators, or they just get close, ill send them in

    if you drop the Spirit Stones from the War Walkers, you save 30 pts. My War walkers typically dont carry spirit stones

    I would have to agree. Spirit Stones just make crew stunned into crew shaken. Its not imparitive that walkers move every turn, so I don't see the need for Spirit Stones.

    hq, drop the reaper launcher (why does everyone take a reaper launcher for a unit that excells in CC?) and banshee mask. Take a avenger catapult or fusion gun and mandiblasters.

    farseer- I personally dont prefer mind war, but it is not abad power, but the thing with eldar powers is that they should be used to benefit a fighting eldar unit. That said i would take doom.

    troops-

    too many path finders, too many wasted points, I would only take 2 squads of 5 or 1 squad of 5.

    May want to put a warlock wiht the guardians with conceal. Also i would consider a star cannon because you are low on armor hunting.

    fast attack-
    dont waste points on shuriken cannons, idealy vypers should never be within 24 inches.

    HS-
    I would drop spirit stones from all of them. Also why would you want to field so many walkers? They are okay, but i would not call them fantastic. I use them, but only as supporting units.
