Welcome to Librarium Online!
I had a long car ride this weekend so i spent some time putting pen to paper coming up with a new list. This lists uses some things that i've found to be tried and true, and mixes them with some ideas i've had. PLEASE, note that this list is designed to be used by me so may or may not work for others. Also, point calculation was done in my skull, so there may be some mistakes.
My planned strategy for this list is what i call hammer and anvil. The hammer is highly mobile and annoying while the anvil is shooty and resilient. The hammer will destroy precision targets in the enemy line or can be used to control a flank. The hammers job is baiscally to devert attention from the anvil and allow it to take objectives.
Avatar -Leader of anvil 155 points.
-gives fearless to rest of anvil units
-from my experience that he is near unstoppable in hth and can hold objectives well
5 Waithguard with 1 warlock and conceal 215 points
-member of anvil. Very resilient unit that can kill anything it comes up against. Warlock will also help waithlords wraithsight.
5 Fire dragons with 1 exarch, Tank Hunter skill 107 points
-1 Waveserpent with vectered engines, and spirit stones. Has twin-linked
shuriken cannons and shuriken cannon upgrade for catapults. 140 points
-member of hammer. will target selected tanks or heavy infantry.
5 Harlequin with 1 Troupe Master 128 points
-will be positioned inside Falcon
-member of hammer. Will look to get into hth combat slaughtering troops. Will
use hit and run to make its way through the opponents army. Target selection will emphasive supporting other hammer units.
6 Pathfinder 144 points
-member of anvil. Will take cover hoping to achieve 2+ armour save while still
being able to target a good selection of board.
-pining will help get keep the enemy off there game plan.
10 Dire Avengers with exarch and extra catapult. Bladestorm
-1 Waveserpent with vectered engines, and spirit stones. Has twin-linked shuriken
cannons and shurkin cannon upgrade for catapults 140 points
- member of hammer. Will support other hammer units while shooting or
bladestorming appropiate targets.
-Can also join anvil in certain missions. Using transport as a dummy
3 Vypers 180 points
-with shuriken cannons and shuriken cannon uprade on catapults
-member of anvil/hammer will move to where heavy fire power (Read either line
is being overrun by hoardes)
-unit will take up 2 fast attack slots as i will field a unit of 2 and a unit of 1.
this will allow better protection against shots and the alternative to target seperate
5 Swooping hawks with exarch and inercept and skyleap 137 points
-member of hammer. Will target enemy vehicles or misdirect the enemy. Ordance
plate will be dropped on enemy lines. (all efforts will be made to not hit other hammer
-hammer squad 195 points
-with shuriken cannon and shuriken cannon upgrade to catapults
-with holofields, spirit stones and vectored engines.
- will transport harlies. Will then support hammer/anvil units.
1 Waithlord 155 points
-with brightlance and eldar missile launcher (doen't say miss in game)
- will help anchor anvil in hth and act as anti-tank.
3 Dark Reapers with exarch 147 points
-Crackshot and Tempest Launcher
-will do what they do best. Tempest Launcher was used to pin units and to decimate larger hoard groups.
Total 1HQ 3 elite 2 Troop 3Fast 3 heavy support 1995 points
So what do you guys think?
Sorry, for the long post. But i wanted to explain a little on my tactics and how they will be used as thats the only way to get real advice. Also it helps to show what units will be supporting who.
Thanks for Reading!!!
Looks good. I can see the tactics you plan to use and they look quite effective.
Consider dropping the dragon exarch to add more normal dragons to the squad.
I was going to say not much anti-tank until I saw your wraithlord. Its an acceptable amount.
You'll have to try out using a phoenix lord in this list sometime in friendly games. Maybe dropping the hawks or something. I think Maugn Ra or Fuegan would make this list quite fun to use.

If anyone wants any kind of help writing fluff for any kind of GW army just ask.
I have played similar lists with Baharroth. I also have a model of Maugan Ra (My favourite and my best painted model.).
I will think about your suggestion of the drop of the exarch. That would allow me to use up those 5 unused points and instead put in 2 more dragons. Actually, I quite like that.
Troops win battles.
You have more heavy support than troops choices, I think you definatly need more troops. Pad it out with some guardians.
The only thing that concerns me is all the shuriken cannons, which low range puts you in range of practically all the enemys weapons.
Looks very well thought out, and if your game plan works, it should be quite effective.

I assumed that with so many anti-tank targets (Avatar, Waithlord, 3 Vypers, 2 Transports, a Falcon) that are actually quite resilient (Avatar and Waithlord are multi-wounds and tough while the rest can only be glanced) that it wouldn't be a problem to get into shuriken cannon range. Shuriken cannon is a good all round cannon as it can destroy light vehicles and many tough vehicles from behind. I plan to also put a major hurt on to my enemy's infantry, while also locking up there battle line.
well try it out and tell us how it goes.
