    That looks good.

I'd say drop the avatar in favour of a falcon. Then put the dragons in the falcon and the avengers in the wave serpent.

You will also need to drop some upgrades from the wave serpent to make points for holo-fields on the falcon.

Your guardian's warlock should have conceal (or embolden) instead of destructor.

If you really like the avatar model and want to keep it then put fortune on your farseer so that he can keep the avengers company.

    The first.

I'd drop the avatar, he really is not needed at 1000 points.

    give the farseer doom

    warlock should have conceal.

with the points from the avatar try fitting in some CC elites.

Drop the firebike and exarch from the dragons, they will destroy any tank they want without them.

Divide the warwalkers into 3 seperate hq slots.

the avatar is a distraction from the veichle, to split fire. hes also a CC monster, i cant imagine hw wouldnt be handy in 1k, but i see your point.

havent spent many points on the exarch, but if i need the points, i can take them from here.

i concede that the warlock should have conceal, and that i will change.

the idea with the warwalker was to give them guide, so they have to be in one unit. 24 guided shots at s6 will hurt most things.

    but thanks man, apreciate it

    regards tim

Keep the war walkers together with guide.

To many people on this forum over-estimate doom at the moment.

No more comments really. Both lists look good. I like the 2nd one better but you can use either.

    thanks man,

i like the second better only coz i want a wood elf army too, (all my armies are in pairs like this) and the path finders remind me of the waywatchers, and the avatar is the treeman.

look, i agree with that doom comment. it can setup some amazing stuff together with guide, but its easier to guide your your own units, rather than doom an enemy, due to range restrictions, and has a similar result. on some units, like the scatter laser walkers, guide is better, since youll be wounding marines on 2s anyway, and only hitting on 4s, so your better off re-rolling the worser roll. counts even more when your trying to keep distance from the enemy...

    regards again, tim

I love playing with an avatar. But he is quite slow (well he ONLY regular speed).

Personally, I'd drop the guardians. put in the pathfinders. (for pinning) Maybe drop a warwalker for a waithlord. That would be a good list. O and kill the firedragong exarch or atleast the firepike. (not really worth it). If you want the best bang for your buck then kill the shimmershield for double shuriken cannons or kill bladestorm for defend. But if you bring along an avatar and a waithlord, then you won't need to worry about hth.

I wasn't aware you were only using guide for the war walkers. If you do not plan on using the farseer for any other units, then yes I would keep guide.

I normally use doom with CC elite squads.

What i was getting at with an avatar is that he wont get into action for almost the whole game, the enemy will avoid him and shoot him with big guns. Yes I understand this is what you want, but when there are war walkers 36" away wailing on him with scatter lasers and then there is an avatar 24" away. He is going to go after ur walkers not only are they alot easier to kill but they are the ones causing havoc, not to mention the avatar can not do anything about it as long as they move more than 18' away, (assuming he moves 6 closing and fires wailing doom).

and grey monk, i think in every list you have commented in you either recommend an avatar, wrathlord or both :-) haha.

    I second that!

Otherwise I like your first list. But the Avatar is out of place in a 1000p game, keep him for 1500.
