I bought myself a Monolith for X-mas, purely because it looks damn cool. This is purely for friendly games, and i really wanted a long lasting army that would take ages to get rid of, while during that time, unleashing tonnes of fire support. Comments are very welcome =D
"In dedicato imperatum ultra articulo mortis"
For a friendly list, I like it. Personally, I'm not a big fan of Tomb Spyders at all and you could use some anti-armor, but that depends on what types of armies your friends play. A Monolith at 1000 is usually frowned upon for phase out purposes, but I wouldn't be worried with that many Warriors.
Have you thought about Immortals?
you look to be good here the tomb spyder make sure you aren't afraid of zooming it out to tear up vehicles, if you are getting it specifically for the ability to regenerate necrons skip it at these low levels you'd be better off with a destroyer, that is unless you take a veil and leave combat the spyder would ensure that the fallen you left behind would comback. I would hold the monolith in reserve and deep strike it into your opponents zone when it becomes available. at these low levels scarabs are almost invaluable at tying up the enemies prized units. you definately need more movement (veil, destroyers etc....)
but of course friendly lists are fun for everyone so good balance there
Dear Game Designer,
Rock is Cheese. Paper is fine.
Looks solid to me. Only real thing to think about is what to do with the Monolith. Though I'd suggest using it as a support unit behind your warriors right off the bat. The Phalanx formation you're currently working with will benefit more from it in that roll.
Tombspyder should be kept ahead of your warriors to act as a shield. Create scarabs to take stray anti-tank fire. When your opponents get close don't be afraid to slog it into them and let it do it's work. Never think that the TS is a simple way to help WBB it's far more than that.
Keep your lord and mono centralized to support all your warriors at once.
