I'm new to the ork scheme of things.

I've got a marine army, and I wanted to play something I can you know, have a hellova time with.
An army that I don't care if the men die, an army I can get better by choosing tactics instead of changing lists.

Iguard don't do it for me, tau..NOPE, necrons i can't stand and wouldn't ever like to be on the giving end of a destroyer volley (it would make ME feel dirty and cheap) and there are way to many eldar players round these parts...

This list comes to about 1500(a little less)...

ANY input would be greatly appreciated negative positive constructive destructive i don't care..I just want to be able to go into my first orky scrap with a little knowhow and not some ramshackle list of instant orky death

Against troops you should try what is commonly know as a "Scorcha Buggy of Doom". Fast attack, Buggy with Scorcha and spikes and blades. This is one helluva assult weapon, try it on Genestealers.

Your boss looks good, PowerKlaw might be of use for him and some transport for him and some boyz.

    Lots of boyz is good.

Don't know about the Russ, a looted Griffon Mortar or a Basillisk might be a better option, cheaper too.... or if you like to burn stuff a Hell Hound! You can hide a Basillisk or Griffon so less armour is not such an issue and not having to move them so you can use their weapons for turn 1, they have better range too. The Hellhound has an assult weapon so you can move and shoot.

To get your boyz into an assult, as it's what they excel at, I think you should consider the following options.
1, Get some transports in there so they can get engaged quicker (trukk boyz perhaps).
2, Give them some protection, perhaps use KFF.
3, Put in a fire magnet or armour, Kans and Dreads to pull fire away.
4, Grotz - Grotz are great 30 of 'em with slaver for around 100pts. You can use them as a shield or for swapping units. I think that these little fellas are one of the fluffiest units in the Ork army lists.

Not saying you should change your list, it looks good, just want to give you something to think about. A mob of Grotz & either a HellHound, Griffon Mortar or perhaps a basillisk = you Russ give or take a few points.

Grotz and Hell Hound would be my choice as they are the fluffiest.......you know you want to....and I'd make both your buggies into buggies of doom.
