Ok i have recently purchased a big package of necrons
Here is what i got;
20 necron troops
flying necron lord
necron lord on foot
I am going to buy more, so that is not a problem...
What do you think would be the best choices for me to get now, and what do i need to make a good army.
[ I will also be laying orks alot ] but i don't want to flog them, i want to have fun battles.
 Orks Tau,
SM WHFB Chaos
What you have is a great start to a very complete Necron army. All I would really buy from here on in is a Battlebox and eight Immortals. That should give you all you need for highly competitive take-on-all-comers lists up to about 2000+ point games.
A simple list that is great against Orks is:
1 Lord with Veil of Darkness
8 Scarab Swarms
2x1 Heavy Destroyers
Monolith (Deep Striking)
Flayed Ones, Wraiths, Pariahs, the C'tan, Tomb Spyders: you can buy these if you want a complete Necron army, but you'll find they don't hit the field nearly as often as the best basic Necrons: Warriors, Destroyers, Immortals.
Against Orks, Necrons have no problems. Ork armor is uncommon and weak. Necrons are the preeminent anti-armor force in the game. (to wit, even a single Warrior can take down a Land Raider with one shot.)
Use the Destroyers and Heavy Destroyers to immediately take down anything that could harm the Monolith, such as Zzap Gunz or some looted vehicles, then Deep Strike the Monolith square in the middle of the Ork line. They will not be effective in hurting it. The Monolith's Flux Arcs and Particle Whip will be killing Orks in droves.
Having your Lord carry the Veil of Darkness and accompanied by a unit of Immortals is a time-honored Necron tactic (known as the Flying Circus) and is one of the most devastating too. Have this unit teleport around the Ork line to 'herd' them, in effect, towards the Monolith.
The Warriors (of which there should be at least ten for every 500 points of game size) should advance on the Orks, but never get into close combat. The Scarabs should be used as road-blocks if the Orks get too close. They can tie the Orks up for a few turns while the Necron Warriors can move out of charge range.
WHFB: Dwarfs || WH40k: Imperial Fists, Necrons || WM/H: Trollbloods || BFG: Necrons
Thankyou alot, thats some very appreciated advice.
I have decided i will defiantly be buying some immortals, as they sound to be one of the necrons best units.
 Orks Tau,
